True atheists aren't really intolerant. They just don't give a crap until some scientific evidence comes along to support God.

It's these depressed angry teens that annoy the PlSS out of everyone else with their ignorance and intolerance. Don't worry, though... They still have a few years of high school left to get that education in there.

I have a minor in Philosophy, have had classes in all the other disciplines you mentioned and I have a sense of humor (btw, sarcasm often gets lost in written format..just something to remember; I've pissed people off before by being sarcastic online and they thought I was being serious) Btw, did you know that some cultures don't use sarcasm? There was an exchange student in my class from Japan and he got offended by one of my jokes because he didn't get that it was sarcastic nor was it easy to explain to him why sarcasm is funny.

So, anyway, atheists don't only study science (don't talk about intolerance when you are making generalizations)...quite a few of us like to expand our knowledge base into other fields. But it is also good to remember that not everyone gets or appreciates sarcasm. (I'm saying this with not looking at what you posted before and assuming you actually made a good joke).

Actually I took five psych classes, four sociology classes, four comparative religions classes, two humanities classes, art appreciation, social ethics debate among a lot of science classes since half the time I was in college I majored in Mechanical Engineering.

I don't think myself intolerant but you may as that is your right. I believe you have the right to believe any way you want. How does that make me intolerant.

I'm a huge fan of sarcasm!! If I've missed some of your sarcasm, oops. Ya just never know how to take people sometimes when all you have to go on is what they've typed. Maybe you could do this: (sarcasm goes here) to avoid misunderstandings?

Great!! Now I know not to take anything you say seriously!! (sarcasm goes here)

^----see how that worked?

Right: go with religion. It breeds... tolerance... umm... kinda... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

I think I'll continue to rely on sources of knowledge that actually have a basis in ... umm... rational thought and logic.

Yet, I can't say that it isn't a seductive thought to just give up and jump into a mythology rather than trying to figure out what is actually going on.

Sarcasm, though, has to stay!

Umm...I'm in graduate school studying social psychology, and I've studied the humanities (particularly religious studies), philosophy and social science even more than I've studied the "hard" sciences.
