After Diego beat Kenny Florian at the first Ultimate Finale, I was in awe of his aggressive style. However, after he won his first fight, I started hating him because he acted kind of arrogant during his interview with Joe Rogan. He was asked to walk the crowd through the last moments of his fight. He just commented on how good his TapOut shorts looked and didn't say anything about the fight.

I was unconvinced he was much of a fighter due to the lack of real competition he was being given. I was hoping Nick Diaz would put a stop to Diego's winning streak, but Diego held Diaz down for 3 rounds and won again. Cheap way to win, but a win is a win is a win.

If there's anything I've noticed is that Diego has a lot of trouble with fighters with a good sprawl. Josh Koscheck put Diego to the test during the semis of Season 1 of TUF, but ate a lot of knees and Diego moved on to the Finals. During his fight with John Alessio, Diego had a lot of trouble in the early going when Alessio kept sticking Diego's takedown attempts. Diego got Alessio's back but was unable to lock in a rear naked choke. Again, a cheap way to win a fight, but again, a win is a win is a win. I still would've liked to see Diego lose that one. Interesting thing is, the crowd initially cheered Diego and booed Alessio for sprawling, then booed the decision but split down the middle when Diego said he wanted to dedicate his fight to all the Men and Women serving in the Armed Forces.

I honestly thought Karo Parisyan would hand Diego his first loss, and it looked like he was giving Diego a fight until he seemingly gassed. It also didn't help that Diego got in a few choice shots that landed below each of Karo's eyes.

I guess there's been some talk of Diego getting a title shot against Matt Hughes, but Diego took the humble road and said he'll fight whomever they tell him he'll fight.

Personally, I'm still waiting for them to pit Diego against one of the bigger dogs so we can finally see Diego get his @$$ whupped. Should they pit him against Hughes, we should see Diego finally get what's coming to him. Matt Hughes told Sammy Morgan during TUF 2: "If you're undefeated, you're fighting the wrong people. Bottom line." This applies to Diego.

Diego is a great fighter and he proved it tonight. Just because he didn't finish the submission doesn't make him any less of a fighter. That is only the 4th time in his career that he hasn't finished an opponent. Its harder than you think to submit someone in an MMA fight especially when they are just as good as you. Its different when your just grappling. Dean Lister is one of the best submission guys in the UFC and he couldn't finish off Sasaki so don't be so hard on Diego. It was a great fight and I'm tired of all the hate for Diego. Sure he is Cocky but the guy is undefeated and he has definitely had the toughest fights of all the guys that have been on The Ultimate Fighter Reality Show(TUF). I think he has proved himself.

Myself and everyone else who appreciates a real fight. In his most recent fight, Diego was thrown by Karo 5 to 6 times. Diego even got to his back but couldn't finish it. Remember his earlier fight in UFC 60 where he was John Alessio's back for the majority of the round? Alessio even walked to his corner to ask for advice! How can the judges award unanimous decision to a guy that can't finish a submission. How can the judges give Diego two of the three rounds when he was thrown by Karo and couldn't escape his guard? I'm ready for some real fighters, not these prissy pretty boys they keep trying to sell. And for those who want to make rude comments, take a grappling class from someone higher than blue belt and get back to me.

I want to see him lose. They were talking about giving him a title fight also. I hope Diego gets a title fight because Hughes will snap him in two. Diegos a good fighter, but I want to see him lose because he's really cocky. I cant believe they would give him a title fight already, but if he gets one his undefeated streak will end.
