I'd be honest, I don't deserve to go to heaven. But I would ask for a peek inside to see if anyone I knew was there, before I was cast into hell.

The Bible never says That st peter will be standing at the pearly gates. Peter will not ASK you why you THINK youre worthy of Gods presence either. You go through life, God gives you chances to hear his Word, read his word, now more than ever is His word and truth available to us through the internet also. When you Die you will come face to Face with The Lord himself. The Bible said Every tongue shall confess and every knee shall bow and we will see God as He is. It will be a humbling, beautiful wonderful day for many of us. It will be a humbling , sad day for others who said they wont believe until they see. But you see that isnt FAITH. Faith is not seeing but still believing. God wants us to have this faith and he tells us about it in His word. God says we will stand before him and be Judged according to our faith and the deeds we did whether they be good or bad. If you have accepted Christ you will be eternally secure with the Lord. If you have not then he will cast you away as he casted the angels with Lucifer out of heaven into the botomless pit. Read John , Read Hebrews and Revelation. There is a description of the vision John saw of Heaven. It said there are waters like glass, different gemstones, and there are gates of pearl but I dont think peter will be the one judging you. Good Luck

I don't know how people get the idea that St. Peter will be at the Gates. Besides, if he is, he is not the one to say whether you can enter or not. Only God can do that, and if He asks, then I wouldn't have any business at the Gate, because He is an all knowing God.

Because Jesus redeemed me and my name's written in the book of life! But, in all honesty, I'm glad St. Peter doesn't have to serve his life standing at the Pearly Gates passing comment as to who will and who won't get to go any further!!

When Mother Teresa died and went to Heaven she was really happy, but then one day she saw Princess Diana there and couldn't help noticing that Di had a halo whereas she didn't.
She tried to ignore that fact but it kept nagging at her. Then one day she ran into Jesus and he asked her how she was liking heaven and she said, "Oh, I love it...but there is one thing that's bothering me. Why does Princess Diana get a halo and I don't? All my life I sacrificed everything for you. And I know she was a good person and all, but she also was rich and got to have all sorts of fun while on Earth. It just doesn't seem fair."
Jesus hugged her and replied, "My dear child, that's not a halo. It's a steering wheel!"

A man dies and goes to heaven. Of course, St. Peter meets him at the pearly gates. St. Peter says, "Here's how it works. You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in."
"Okay," the man says, "I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart."
"That's wonderful," says St. Peter, "that's worth three points!" "Three points?" he says. "Well, I attended church all my life and supported its
ministry with my tithe and service." "Terrific!" says St. Peter, "that's certainly worth a point." "One point? Golly. How about this: I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans."
"Fantastic, that's good for two more points," he says. "TWO POINTS!" the man cries, "At this rate, the only way I get into heaven is by the grace of God!" "That's right! Now you've got it!" said St. Peter.
For it is by Grace you have been saved, through Faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) HIS Grace!

St. Peter won't be there. The idea of Peter letting people into heaven isn't in the Bible.

An previous Inuit guy as quickly as advised me that upon dying, the effective Spirit asks 2 questions; 1st -- have you ever had a satisfied life? 2nd -- have you ever made others satisfied? it is it. rather trouble-free unquestionably. yet, what proportion persons can answer "specific" to the two questions?

well, actually, it's not like that at all. Try not to make fun of a belief without looking into it. Your life will be tested at the great white throne, the seat of judgement. If you are redeemed, you will stay with God. if you are found to have never known Him, you will be seperated
