leave me alone??? lol... there is this guy at work that keeps bugging me to go to coffee with him... i told him I didnt think it was a good idea and that i didnt date coworkers... now he is getting a new job and is very obviously making it a point that i know he wont be working here anymore... he keeps asking.. I thought he would get the hint that i wasnt interested without having to come out and say... no... i dont want to go to coffee with you, what do i do?

You need to come out and say it. Too many women try to 'let the guy down easy', just like you. He was not asking you to go out for coffee...he was asking you out on a date. You should have made it clear right then. And that is what you need to do now.
It will hurt him, but he will live through it and get over it....

Wow. I hope he didn't quit because you said that. If you don't want to make up a bf or a lesbian relationship to get rid of him, you'll just have to be very blunt. Tell him he's not your type, then be prepared to describe a type of guy he could never be (wieghtlifter, military war veteran, different race, etc.).

you are going to have to tell him the truth. It may hurt but be honest with him it will be better in the long run. Just tell him, Look, I am sure you are a nice person, but I am not interested.

Sometimes guys need a mean answer to get the point. If he starts harassing you, then just get reall, really mean. Most guys like that are really total wimps inside.

Don't hint, just say no if your not interested. Your hinting might be confused as flirting by the guy.
Just say no politely.

why dont you just tell him you are not interested in dating him? wouldn't that be a whole lot easier? or do you just get off on the idea that he is attracted to you and if you can avoid the truth you enjoy his attention as it feeds your ego?

Why not just be mature and say I am not interested in you. If he keeps bothering you after that report him to your boss.
