practising homosexuality is a sin in accordance to the Bible. The Lutheran faith has till lately been in contract with that education even if from information comments I do not forget that there's a flow in that church to compromise on what the Bible teaches on the topic of practising homosexuality with the intention to abode those who've been swayed via the favourite concepts set which says that people may have sex any way they prefer to as long as there is consent between the contributors. The Bible teaches that once someone receives God's Holy Spirit that they develop right into a sparkling introduction in Christ and are presented from their old habit that God says at the prompt are not in His will for his or her lives. one million Corinthians 6:9 Do you not recognize that the unrighteous received't inherit the dominion of God? do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor adult men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the grasping, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the dominion of God. 11 And such were a number of you. yet you've been washed, you've been sanctified, you've been justified interior the call of the Lord Jesus Christ and via the Spirit of our God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 hence, if all and sundry is in Christ, he's a sparkling introduction. The old has handed on to the great beyond; behold, the hot has come.

As Lutherans understand it, the Bible does not address the subject of masturbation directly. It does condemn the immoral thoughts and desires that one usually associates with masturbation (Matthew 5:27-29; Ephesians 5:3-4; I Thessalonians 4:3-5; II Timothy 2:22). Going to the Internet to look at porn and arouse yourself is not turning from sin, but rather inviting it into your life.

God's Word also says that we should do all things to the glory of God ( I Corinthians 10:31). "Solo Sex" (auto eroticism) by definition seems to run in conflict with God's design at creation in making humans male and female (Genesis 2:20-25). One also wonders how one honors God with her or his body through masturbation (I Corinthians 6:12-20).

We Lutherans realize that masturbation has become a common way for many secular therapists to suggest as a method for stress reduction. Perhaps it all goes back to Freud and his overt stress upon sexual things. Is there no better way to accomplish the reduction of stress? Are you doing it to relieve stress? If so, perhaps you would benefit from more exercise. Maybe you should get a physical check up from a medical doctor. If the doctor approves an exercise regimen, maybe you should join in the recommended exercise program, or get some other friends or acquaintances to join in -- at a gym, perhaps.

I don' t think it's possible to encounter a male or a female who is masturbating who is also not lusting. Most are using some form of pornography in connection with their masturbation. Masturbation has never been just a physical act. But the temptation that accompanies masturbation is that one becomes obsessively involved to the point at which one cannot control oneself. The availability of pornography makes the obsession so much easier. Lust is a desire to sin that is present in our thoughts about others -- about previous lovers, about current acquaintances, about celebrities, etc. Lust is a sin.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

All lust of the flesh is a sin. It is called fornication. Why is that all guys think about? They treat it like it's some kind of magic wand or somthing. NOT!

I'm Lutheran but that has nothing to do with sins of the flesh. It isn't about being Lutheran, or Catholic, or Presbyterian, but being a Christian and believing in what the Bible has to say about lust.
