Unconditional love means to love someone no matter what. It's the kind of love that I have for my children.

We are supposed to love God with all our heart and soul, with no strings attached. There are no conditions attached to this love, so therefore, unconditional love and commitment.

You did answer your own question based on your opinion. Do you want the opinion of others or were you trying to get points for best answer too?
I believe that God loves me unconditionally. He sent His only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not be lost but have eternal life. He forgives me for my sins and gives me numerous chances to walk the right path. He may not let me into heaven if I screw up entirely , but He loves me enough to give me the opportunity.
My Dad loves me unconditionally. He has been angry with me from time to time for stupid mistakes I've made, but he always loved me - no conditions.

there is no such thing as unconditional love....most ppl say that parents' love is unconditional, i used to believe that till recently when i refused to marry the guy whom my parents chose for me and they threaten to disown me...if i don't marry him....
so love is always conditional, i would say it is more like collateral, as long as we give something, we get the love.....
