It was a human being who wrote the history of the world and other books of learning. There are lies there, there are truth, there are things invented and there are factual things also that do not need oftentimes to be proven but people believe even if they did not see. Plus the humans you are saying who wrote the Bible claim they witnessed what they wrote, through their visions, through their dreams, through their encounters and through Divine Inspirations. They just wrote what they experienced. They are not asking you to believe them. You just have to feel if it has anything of use to you. And you are never forced to believe it... it is just there. Walk away if you do not believe or walk through it if you think it will make you a better person. That is what we call FREE WILL No one as I know of force it into my mouth and told me to eat it.
Also, If God wrote the Bible Himself, then the next question you will ask is "How can I believe that God wrote it, I did not even see how He wrote it?" and how can I be sure if it was not invented by the one who claims he saw God wrote it?
Where ever you put it, your doubt will stay with an open-ended response forever. Perhaps all of us should find a way that will settle our minds and let time answer all that we cannot answer at the moment.

you cant truly ever believe or prove the bible as a work of god when its simply a collection of books all which were written at different times and by different people. and then only later a certain group of people namely the council of niceas, version 1 and 2 under orders by their government made the final decision what would be in the set or not. And the council of nicea surely werent the most friendly of people. Sorry to rant but the truth is the bible is completely innacurate and mythical in nature.

The Word is God - inspired. Also archeologists have been able to put to account alot of things written in the Bible. All the names & places have been accounted for, which is muh more than any other "bible"! How can you believe the accounts in history? A human wrote it!

That's exactly what I didn't swallow--even if it was "divinely inspired". Especially when some Christians take it literally.
Textbooks and encyclopedias are fact checked, and written by people who have done the research on the subject (except that isn't necessarily true for Wikipedia). Plus, people don't take an encyclopedia as a guide to how they live their life--condemning people based on what is written there. So that's an unfair comparison.

You believe in the bible because God speaks through the person that wrote the Bible.

I think that the bible is a great guide line to help those who need "rules" to live by. If you try to study the bible there are so many contradictions that it is almost like trying to figure out a maze. But I agree that there are things in there that are really hard to believe. I totally believe in GOD, and I personally do not find HIM confusing to me, only things that people claim HE said to them.

YA CANT, there are so many things that historians say have been edited out or re-written through out time just because they thought they had the power to do so that's why i now try to only listen to what god says and not read the stories written by human hands

The bible is supposed to be the word of god.
However you have reason to believe in a contradiction. If humans are imperfect, how can you expect an infallable book to exsist if written by imperfect creatures.

as any scholar on this subject will tell you, that some parts of the Bible have been altered, the Book itself is a testimonial that the Revelation was sent down to remind the Jews of the truth they had received earlier, and new text for the time and after the time it was revealed in.It's earlier recorders were noble and trustworthy people, many whose names are lost or unknown. And seeing that the subject of it's Text, the Lord of everything created,is and forever Lives, seeking nearness to Him for the truth of one's purpose,is a journey towards the Truth.
