Have you checked with your pedetrician yet...Is your baby losing weight? There may be some intestnal or stomach problems. As for the juices, always check the nutitional values on the back...if you do decide to add juice, water them down like half and half...I am pretty sure that the sugar contents are high and even though your baby may not have much in teeth, it does cause some decaying of them, even under the gums. A good vitamin is good, too for the baby. Please check with you baby's doctor, that would be the first thing I would do before taking any advice from here...Your baby's health is number ONE!

Have you tasted formula? It can be incredibly bitter. I've had Robitussin that tastes better. He may hate the flavor so much, that you're going to have to wait until he's hungry enough to drink that slop. And he will; babies do not like formula generally, so many of them refuse it for a little while, until they realize that's all they're going to get.

I wouldn't give juice; it's just sugar and calories, like soda. Very little nutrition. I would contact the doctor, check for fever, and those kinds of things, in case he's rejecting it because he's sick. If everything checks out, you could try inducing relactation and feed him your own milk (the sweetest and most nutrition-packed food known to man), your doctor may have ideas to sweeten the formula up a bit, or you may just want to wait him out.

No. Juice is not a substitute for formula. He should still be getting a lot of his daily caloric intake from formula.

If he's not drinking formula, switch formulas.

Gerber Juice is fine at that age but in no way should substitue his/her formula. He/she gets hungry enough they'll drink it.

Call your county health department; they should have a nutritionist on board to answer your questions. Additionally, the WIC program (Women, Infants and Children) have nutritionists that can help you, and the baby and you may qualify for free formula and food.

No because then he really won't drink the juice. We had that problem but she eventually decided to drink it again the doctor said when she was hungry she would eat.

user-friendly because it would want to sound - supply up worrying about it! he will drink it even as he's waiting! only shop providing it to him each and every once in a lengthy time period (not on an analogous time once an afternoon!!) and faster or later he will wonder you via taking the bottle and eating it empty! My son is 9 months old now, were on jars of nutrition and formulation considering 18 weeks or so old, and has purely interior the perfect 2 months all started loving mega-diluted no-sugar fruit squash. He particularly likes summer culmination... genuinely, attempt your son on a "red" squash (you recognize, apple and blackcurrant, summer culmination or something like that!) as my fiance's childminding father and mom tell me that maximum babies choose "red" squash to the different, extraordinarily even as they are only beginning to drink something except milk! You son received't get dehydrated as long as you supply him the right quantity of milk or formulation each day. i recognize even as i began feeding my son with nutrition jars he became particularly a lot less fascinated in milk for a lengthy time period and we too worried about him being dehydrated - even if it only did not take position. it truly is organic to rigidity, and do shop providing your son the squash and water, yet do not imagine he's getting into the back of or not getting what he needs via turning it away, he's only asserting "not yet, thanks!". once you do provide it, i might want to signify utilising a bottle initially it truly is an similar type as his milk bottle and once he's used to the hot flavor, shifting onto a spouted cup or similar. We did this and our son is shifting on now to the spouted beaker and loving the freedom of feeding himself (even as he held the bottle on his personal he oftentimes ended up squirting himself interior the interest by coincidence!). solid success with it!

If you are worried about hydration, I would contact the doctor and ask if it is okay to give him pedialyte...he might have a sore throat or he might be starting to teeth which makes them irritable and inconsolable at times...

Try yogurt. Not so cold though. Plain and sweeten a little with sugar.
