Anyone take it? What were the results?

I am on Depakote ER (500 mg) 5 a bed time and have been on the medication since 2001. My first side affects to it were weight gain and drowsiness now i have started to have hair loss. I take it as a mood stabilizer for bipolar and borderline personality disorder.

Son took it. It's a seizure med that is also used as a mood stabilizer. He did okay on it.

i was on depicote for epilepsy 1500 mg a day it made me hungry and lazy i gained 64 pounds in 4 months ,normaly i dont gain weight

My brother takes it and it has really helped decerase his anger and irrability.

My son took it and he had severe mood swings. I hated it !

Well it makes your cheeks fat. Otherwise it's OK so far as I can tell.
