I was saved in March of this year and have since then remarried my husband and have gone to through many changes for the better. Yet, my family is always sayin that well, if you were really being a christian you would be doing this or that. I've never claimed to be a christian or any specific denomination. I believe that the bible is the true word of God and that I can help myself and those around me for the better by building my relationship with God through the word.

When you're "in the world" doing things as most people do, you're no threat to the "devil's" agenda. Once you become saved, now you're on the radar as one who needs to be won back. Take the challenge as a sign that you're on the right track. Each obstacle you overcome will strengthen your faith...that's a good thing. Best wishes in this regard.

The bible is a horrible book to live by. The flaws and hypocrisy of the thing is ridiculous.

First it says that being gay is a sin.

Then it says the age people should get married is around 12 or 13 years old.

Then it says your whole life is mapped out by a higher power (which takes away your complete free will because everything you do is planned by the higher power.)

So actually, murderers shouldn't be punished for what they do. They kill people because that is the god's plan. They should be rewarded instead.

simple because they know what they themselves are doing is not at all in line with what the bible teaches and the answer is simple its easy to do wrong but hard as heck to live a clean moral life one that god approves of so you keep studing and do what is in your heart god loves you for your efforts. so stay strong and dont let family make you miss out on a better life and an inner peace that you can enjoy now.

Well, I don't think that people like that don't have much room to speak.. because somewhere in the bible it says something like you shouldn't judge people.. or something like that.. I am too going to be saved, just not yet.. I know that there are some people who say well you weren't like that all your life and stuff like that.. but honestly I don't care.. because it isn't up to them if I get into heaven or not, it's up to God! My husband have brought me closer to God, since I have been with him.. Before that I didn't believe in God that much.. But now I pray and I feel him closer to me and I feel him protecting me! So I think that they do that because they think your trying to be better than them or better than other people.. And they are judging you.. but don't let them get you down.. Stay close to God and don't ever forget that he is there with you whenever you need him!! Good luck in life and God bless!!

I'm Christan, and it annoys me when I see other Christan's doing this.
Pushing down on people and forcing them to be perfect humans.

In order to grow and become a true Christian it takes time and compassion.

I think the mistake most Christians make , the one you seem to be experiencing, is they want you to be saved and the perfect christian so much they forget to live by example.

First off, if you believe in the Bible then you are a Christian. Secondly, your family will always try to tell you what to do.

funny, i have the same problem.

my family members are not saved. now that i have changed my life around, they do everything in their power to try and knock me.

if you believe the bible, then you believe satan is real. he will do anything in his power to try and pull you away from the word of GOD.

and if he has to use your family members in doing it, then he will. what better way to get to someone than through their family.

just stay strong in what you believe!

Just say this He who has no sin casts the first stone! I love this remark and it is so true no one is perfect and especially in today's day and age! Good for you being born again! God Bless!

Guess they forgot to read that particular verse, "Judge Not, Unless You Want To Be Judged".
