Put her age on it like it is a birthday cake instead :) OR if she has been with her man for 5 years put a candle that says "5" on the cake. And joke "you're 5!". But it really represents how many years they have gone out.
Or put her name plus a horrible ex BF's name on it that she hates/dislikes and that you all joke about what a loser that guy was. You can put example: her fiance's name is Chris but you put Sharon & Kevin (the ex) on the cake. Just for a laugh. Or "imagine if you married Kevin!"
Just a few ideas. Other ideas would be to do something personal, a family joke that you tease her about like for example say she had braces for years, then put something on the cake about "glad you arent getting married in braces!"

if you wrote some of these things other people have said on the top of a cake, you can probably expect it to be smashed in your face. How about:
Congrats on finding the man of your dreams.
Have the cake decorated with Cinderella on it. Cute huh??

i threw my sister a bridal shower, the cake had Betty Boop on it (she likes betty boop) it was a hit.

(Two hearts as one.)Have it done as a heart cake with a half heart on one side and the other half on the other side. or you can have two little hearts joined together on the cake.
