The obvious answer is to improve your diet and exercise more (either by improving the efficiency of your body with aerobic exercise, or by increasing muscle with anaerobic exercise).
Some little things that can help is to chew minty gum, eating yogurt, drinking more water or liquids with caffeine, eat meals of pure protein.

Eat every three hours. A moderate Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Than snacks in between like yogurt, granola, or a simply piece of wheat bread. Also, avoid eating three hours before bed. And keep yourself physically active so that you don't feel sluggish.
