New Orleans policeman was called to work at Superdrome. He'd called for his dogs to be rescued. When he got home the front door was broken in and the dogs gone but no message was left as to who "rescued" them.

Their pages are at http://lostkatrinapets.com/lucky and http://lostkatrinapets.com/nemo The pictures aren't too clear as they got wet from flood water.

They are Lucky, a wire-haired tricolor JRT and her companion Nemo, a German Shepherd Chow mix that looks like pure Shepherd. He has black halfway down his legs.

A JRT among many taken from a shelter in LA by Muttshack and brought to Atlanta in March looks exactly like Lucky! However, Muttshack has ignored for months our requests for a photo of the dog from the side and more details so we can tell if it is Lucky.

The adopter, we know, had no idea this may not have been an owner turn-in dog. We have no way at present to reach him/her. We hope the adopter will be able to put themselves in the owner's shoes and communicate with us

HSUS sure made a mess of things there. They put to sleep or adopted out MANY dogs without even waiting. They are under investigation for the whole Katrina mess, they took in 30 million in donations and didn't use almost all of it for Katrina (or for the good of animals either).

Be happy these dogs are alive and well. I wish I had a solution for you. The 'rescue' lunatics are unlikely to help you, they know what a mess they made of it and probably hope you will go away.

I'm sorry, good luck.

My heart aches for you. Try getting the word out to newspapers, and other shelters... you'd be surprised at who answers to a call for help with animals. long story short, I knew someone who had a dog get hit and not killed by a car, the dog bit him, the humane society didn't want to euthanize, but save the dog for testing, when it was obvious that the dog was in pain, and the OWNER wanted to put the dog out of its misery. I e-mailed another humane society, and got the word out, and there were somany calls made to the non-responsive humane society that the owners wishes were fulfilled...... GET THE WORD OUT... and yahoo answers is not enough.... go to other sites!

consistent with probability all you're is contemporary in that loft somewhat than 'left some distance in the back of' as you have so eloquently pronounced. And yet a ineffective ringer for the loft as an area for escape and self-actualization is an enthralling one, one certainly with which i will come across completely. would I additionally upload that the meter and rhyme of your poem resonates maximum powerfully with me. as quickly as I see the moon this night, i will think of of your poem. I stay my life on silvered hills Awash in nature's night music the place I enable bypass of earthly ills And comprehend that I belong Awandering on moonlit rills My shadow growing to be long, And there own all nature wills That I be secure and powerful.
