I waited that long because I wasn't ready. You will know when you are. But I think as a rule of thumb you should at least wait until after high school just because you have your whole life to have sex, just enjoy your youth.
You don't want to get pregnant when you are still in high school and have that kind of responsibility. Or even worse get a disease. Sex is a responsibility, it has consequences, just like driving a car. If you don't pay attention or know what you are doing you could get hurt or hurt someone else.
If you are going to have sex USE PROTECTION!!!!!!!!! Guys should ALWAYS wear a condom and girls should be on the pill or something. The pull out method is NOT a form of birth control.
Sorry for the rant, but I just hate when people rush into it without fully thinking it through.
