I've watched your questions for about a month now... and they're all the stupidest I have ever seen. I'm sure you think they're the cleverest questions ever asked, but believe me, they are not.

I've seen people with I.Q.'s of 47 (and that's 3 points lower than a really dumb chimpanzee) ask better questions than you.

Yes.

Most people wrongly believe that the little parasols in their drinks were placed there in the restaurant kitchen, shortly beforehand, by a snooty waiter called Manuel, who will only come to your table if you are really, really cute and really, really male.

That is not true.

At the moment they leave the kitchen, NONE of these drinks ever contain parasols.

They are slipped in there, en route to the table, by agents of the Polar Bear Alliance Against Global Warming (motto: 'Every Degree Makes A Difference'.)

Although they typically weigh in excess of 800 lbs, such is the extreme speed and stealth of PBAAGW agents****, that customers have been observed yelling: 'HEY! Manuel! You forgot the little paraso - oh...nothing. Never mind. It's fine...but, anyway, stop looking at my bum like that.'

****These highly-trained operatives have also managed to infiltrate
McDonald's, which is the reason why their drinks contain far, far, too much ice.

Technically it's a parasol (not an umbrella), and yes that's exactly what it for. We wouldn't want those little ice cubes gettin' over heated now would we?

Good point....I thought they were to keep the flies and bugs that fly around it (and sometimes in it), from getting too much sun.

the ice cubes are actually very high-maintenance, and, unlike most of us humans, are very concerned about skin cancer. most of them are oblivious to the fact that they'll soon melt, either way.
