I am a mutt. No not even being funny. I was adopted when I was 3 days old and since my records are sealed I have NO idea what my ethnicity is.

But background is a whole nother thing......I was raised by a generous genuis who made me see EVERY side to EVERY situation and when I didn't he made me tell him why. That is why I am unable to be SO one-sided when it comes to this very important topic.

nice question.

Polish (1890)
French Canadian (in North America since the 1600's)
Irish (late 1800's)

All parties came in through the front door legally, and dug right into becomming American.
The Polish ancestors had their own business in less than a year, a house, and had a son elected as a State Senator in 1929. The family didn't have much furniture, but all the kids had college degrees in the early 1950's.
They all spoke flawless English in public, and flawless Polish at home. Still do! 116 straight years without using a penny of social services.

Mine is the same as Runoli...but just curious to see how you think a person's backround reflects their views? My ethnicity as well as anyone elses should not have anything to do with how we think...definitly on immigration. My great grandfather came over here LEGAL. I think you are more then curious, I think you are trying to create some debate so you know what ethnicity people are so you can throw it up..

I believe that all immigrants should be legal ones,

I'm of Italian, German, Austrian, Alsatian, Swedish and a smidge of Irish descent, born and living in Boston.

What would you say about my thoughts on immigration based on my background? I'm curious to see if you would be right.
