I was born in New Orleans, La. I am having a difficult time finding information as to how to get a copy of my birth certificate. I must not be looking in the right places. Can you help me? Thank you.

You need to call the local court house and ask for a form to file for a duplicate copy of your birth certificate.

Call City Hall there and ask for the birth records department. They will either transfer you, give you the number or tell you where else you need to call.
