I mean i usually pray for a good day and thank him for everything. that's something some what simple. Our pastor is always telling us that God wants us to ask for something big. so then why is it when a woman has fourteen days left to live, i pray to extend her life, she dies in four days? why is it that for namy days i offered praise and thaksgiving asked God for a job that i really wanted. i trusted so much in him. i gave the last of my money in sacrificial offering and now I find out that they have to many people and i dont get the job. so why should i still trust God after he has shown to be not trustworthy. I am really dissappointed and confused.

So then why should i even pray since God is going to do his will any way. I even had my testimony all planned out, i was excited about being able to pay tithes and the job would have allowed me to help others and further my career. The woman had little time to see a lot of her family while she was alive so a lot of them missed her.

the woman isnt even a godly woman and so therefore probably isnt saved, the bible says that the dead have no knowledge so when Jesus return she would just go the hell in a scond to her anyway. maybe she could have gave her life to God if he allowed her to live.

You should really take care of the doctrines you listen too, especially with all this "word of faith" stuff going on. Let me explain what I believe in four points
1. God doesn't give you all you want
2. He has three answers: YES, NO and WAIT (you're not ready or he has something better for you)
3. Money is not an investment, a big offering won't "increase your chances" of God saying yes
4. Ask for something big? You ask God ONLY for what you believe is his will.
Hope I helped. Blessings.

God don't give us more than we can handle even tho sometimes we think he does. We can pray about keeping people alive but that is not always Gods will he knows when it our time to go, pray that the person is saved and repented of thier sins so that way when someone dies you know they are in Heaven. What you pray for may not happen today, tomorrow, or even next week God knows the right time for everything. Do not give up on God continue praying and have faith, I would hate to think of you burning in the lake of fire forever and ever. I don't think God wants us to ask for something big, he said he would provide us with what we need. Sometimes you may think you need more but God knows best. Read your Bible and have faith things will work out. TRUST GOD!

Herein lies the problem. You have asked for your will, not His will.
Also, God has answered your prayers. The first time He answered, no that is not My plan for her. The second time God said, wait, trust, and be faithful. God could have an even better job for you. Just because you think something would be great for you, doesn't mean that it is. If I think that, eating an entire cake would be good for me and I asked my dad, if I could have the whole cake, I know my dad would say no. You see, my father knows best. He knows that if I eat that whole cake, I will be sick. God knows what is best for you. He did not give you what you wanted. Why don't you ask Him what He wants? What Jesus wants for you is always best. I have been learning this lesson for a long time.
P.S. I'm Praying For You.

well, you need to be sure you aren't asking things for yourself... God is not a genie who will grant you a wish for every good deed. He wants you to praise him, and to ascribe Him worth with your life. This is your only purpose on earth. Now, if it was in His plan to have you get the job, you'll get it.
But, God doesn't always work that way. Don't forget you have others who are not in it for your best interests, and Satan trying to make Christians look bad and lose heart... but God can use these bad things for good purposes, much better than we could have ever done on our own.
Think of it this way... One time somebody asked this kid to give him his lunch to feed the homeless. He knew it was the right thing, but still it was tough. He could have shared it with his friends and fed them!! And why on earth should he give up HIS hard earned food?! After all, he obeyed God and prayed, so why didn't God take the food from someone else who wasn't as good? Little did this kid know that Jesus went on to feed 5000 people with his little lunch.
God can do so much more with our lives than we ever could, but we have to get through the eye of that needle, and give everything that He gave us back to Him.

I think your dilemna is one of timing. God tells us in the Bible that his ways are not our ways, and that his ways are as different from our ways as East is far from West. We can't think of some small god on a shelf who sits and waits for our specific petitions when we want something. This is GOD, the creator of the entire universe we are talking about here. Your faith can work wonders, just not every time you pray. I feel sure that your prayer for a great job will be answered in due time, and that many more of your prayers will also be answered...be patient beloved, chronos(the time we use to measure) was invented for mankind; God is on a totally different wavelength.
Be blessed

Serving God is not about your will , it is about God's will. When I pray for something if God wants me to have it, I will have it. God is trustworthy. We all die. We cannot control when someone is to die. We can ask but we are to leave it in God's hands.
God wants me. . . all the money that we give to this or that cause can not buy God's favor. . . it's kind of like when the Catholic Church was selling indulgences. If you paid a great amount of money you could be assured of going to heaven. God wants me to be God centered and not self centered. He wants my heart. He wants me to love others and to pray for them and to follow Him. There is a lot more. But if you seek Him with all your heart and live so close to Him that no one can get betweeen you and Him you will learn many things that you don't understand now. The Holy Spirit is the Teacher and the Comforter. I pray that you receive His teaching and His comfort today, in Jesus name, Amen.

If you say that you give God your problems, and I am presuming that you did this and put all your faith and trust in the fact that you know God will anwer your prayer and handle your problem. Ask yourself this question...
Did you really give that problem and trusted God with it, or are you still holding onto it and refusing to let it go completely into His capable hands? Are you trusting Him, with out a doubt, (because doubting belongs to satan),and trusting that God will do right by you, according to his perfect will, and in His perfect time?
Have you ever heard the expression "Let Go and Let God"? That means exactly what it says. Once you give a problem to God leave it with him and dont' worry about it. If you always worry and dont' trust God with it, Its most likely that you never gave it to Him to begin with. just a little food for thought.
Dont try to figure out or try to understand the why's and the why not's. Just trust in the Lord completely and He won't let you down.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

God see what you want but he also knows what is good for you now. He has a plan and sometimes we do not see it, God said that a thousand years seem like yesterday to him so continue doing what you are doing give out of your heart and not because you want something. In the bible Jesus saw a poor woman put three coins all she had in the world to the church and Jesus said that woman preyers will be answered why? She give out of her want not out of her surpluse. Give from your heart and God will help you.

there's always a reason,God may have a better job for you and if you go to the one you are talking about you will miss the one that's going to lead you to where you need to be,as far as the person dying,we all want our wishes ,or wants and prayers answered, but we forget maybe this was her time,we all have a certain amount of time, she had finished what she was to do here and she was called home, then maybe she was praying to go too,my mother just died in March, and we wanted her to stay but she wanted to go,
and sometimes our prayers are being answered but not the way we want, and the times I've had to wait for a answer to a prayer, was the time he was teaching me something i really needed ,like faith, patients, and when the prayer was answered,i knew he had done it and realized what he was doing and was glad he had done it his way,not mine

it's ok to ask God for things but what is probably more appropriate is to ask Him for what He wants in your life. maybe He needed your friend to come home with him so that He could help someone else that was involved in her life. The job thing, it wasn't the place for a christian to work or God has different plans for you. We have to accept that just because we ask for something we aren't always going to get it. God knows what He wants us to do and we need to be obedient to that. Remember that God knows how many grains of sand are on the beach and how many hairs are on our heads so...He also knows where our lives are supposed to go and obviously it wasn't what you prayed for. Instead of saying God let my friend live 20 more years maybe ask him to be in her heart and in yours to help both of you accept that God wants her home. Instead of praying, God let me get this job say, God help me find a job that will be fruitful for me and honor You too. God Bless
