Magnovox 25" TV Turns Off Arbitrarily?

Portable television set goes back on after I "replugged" the unit to the AC. Within the menu setting, there is a "sleep" option that I make sure is turned off - yet the problem continues - help.

Just to make sure that there's no setting that you may have changed on you TV, there should be an option in the menus to reset to factory defaults. That would be the best thing to try before you go for $200 repairs.

the flyback transformer is going out, if its an older unit its cheaper to replace it. it will cost about 100-175 to fix.
