You've probably heard that if you drink eight glasses of water daily, you'll lose weight. Let me explain. It seems that a habitually acid pH can directly cause immediate weight gain. Here's what happens when a system is too acid. A condition known as Insulin Sensitivity or Syndrome X results, which forces too much insulin to be produced, and the body is flooded with insulin so that it won't waste any calories, it diligently converts every calorie it can into fat.
It is thought that an acid pH immediately signals the powerful genetic response to an impending famine, directly interacting with the all important and very sensitive, Insulin- Glucagons Axis. This makes the body produce more insulin than usual, and in turn, produce more fat and store it. In general, the more insulin is available to the body, the higher the probability that fat will be produced and stored, rather than used and burned as energy.
Thus, an acid pH will probably alert the genetic response to famine, directing more insulin to be produced and storing more fat than usual. Conversely, a healthy, slightly alkaline pH, will be more likely to yield normal fat burning metabolic activity, making no demands on the body to overly produce insulin and make fat, allowing fat-weight to be burned and naturally lost.
The best way to lose weight though is to drink water with an enhanced mineral complex called xtreme x2o (natural and organic coral calcium with 70 trace minerals) which when mixed with 24 ozs. of water, transforms the solution with a pH of 9.9 (highly alkaline)! Thus, the first thing you need to find out is your body's pH, whether you are acidic or alkaline. If you need help or any other info, please see:

I agree--diets are nasty. Being hungry sucks. Eating healthy stuff, as much of it as you like, is better.
The best way for a guy to lose weight is to exercise, and get in shape. You may actually gain weight initially, because your muscles are growing; but you'll feel the differece between muscle and fat, so you should be able to tell you're making progress without needing to look at the number on the scale.
Aerobic exercise is best for weight loss (you know, swimming or running or anything that makes your heart rate go up), but weight training is good too.

If you dont change anything that you eat but throw in excercise you will lose weight. For a man building muscle is the best way to lose weight. Muscle makes you burn more calories even while resting.
Also, try substituting some foods for lower fat, lower cal versions without making big changes
No one like to diet.... no one normal.. hahah. but if your goal is too lose weight some changes must be made.

dont' skip meals - eat 6 small meals a day include oatmeal, fruit veggies, wheat breads, cereals, more veggies, more fruit, cheese and milk. If you skip meals your body will store the next meal becuase it is afraid of starving. So, eat small portions. AND NO FRIED foods. Take the skin off of chicken. Eat tuna. Skip the noodles. Less salt. get the picture? oh yeah, exercise 30-45 minutes a day even walking will help

You can always squeeze in exercise into your daily routine. Instead of sitting while watching TV or at the desk, stand. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park you car farther away while shopping or at work so you have to walk more. etc.

Quit all soft drinks (diet or regular) and juice drinks and drink only water. Doing just this will cut your calorie intake significantly. And get some exercise!

Simply just eat less and do some cardio like jogging/walking/biking/swimming anything that gets your heart rate up a little bit.

Yes, forget the diet, just reduce the amount of food you eat. Keep eating what you like, just eat half of what you normally eat.

You COULD exersize it off. -The trick IS, however- that you have to make SURE that you don't increase your caloric intake at the same time (let's face it; exersizing makes us hungrier). Keep your food intake level- & you'll burn the weight off (& look better too- if you care about that sort of thing...). good luck.
