Absolutely! I've joined fairtax.org and all of the FairTax groups in my area and I've written my local and state representatives to get as much support as possible.
To the guy who says the FairTax isn't fair: You should specify why you think it isn't fair. Once you pass the age of six, 'just 'cause' isn't an appropriate response to anything.
The FairTax plan (HR 25) abolishes federal tax withholding. You get 100% of what you earn. It eliminates corporate taxes and the cost of just complying with the current tax system. It frees up the time you spend tediously trying to correctly file your taxes and then rushing to the post office on April 15 just to get your taxes filed in time to avoid penalties.
I guess if you have 'under the table' earning, you're right. It doesn't benefit you. You're not paying taxes anyway. The drug dealers, the prostitutes, the illegal aliens-they don't benefit from this system. But hard-working, tax-paying citizens do. They get the benefit of no longer having to pull the weight of those who don't pay income taxes yet buy Escalades, leather furniture, and wide-screen televisions.
I didn't pull this from a cheatsheet or the website. But I've read the book from cover to cover repeatedly and I volunteered to support this cause any way possible because I feel it is a worthwhile cause. I know that if enough people hear about this, the word will get around.
Check out the FairTax FAQ before you decide not to support the FairTax 'just 'cause' and make an informed decision.

This is a very innovative form of tax. Essentially, tax on income and payroll would be eliminated. This would basically make the IRS obsolete. This would put a lot of extra money in the pockets of taxpayers, small business owners in particular, which historically has always sparked economic growth. The government would make its tax revenue from increases in sales tax on new products. This is the best part, because we can all agree that everyone, regardless of income, needs to purchase goods and services. It's also a fair assumption that those with more money will buy more goods and services. The best part is that under the fair tax, the government will be able to obtain tax revenues from people who usually don't pay taxes, like drug dealers and illegal immigrants.
Some people will argue that the tax increases on new products will be too high. In a free-market, capatalist economy, competition is going to keep prices down and the quality of products up.

Yes, The sad part is that so many people are ignorant on the subject.. I wish before any one rejected it they would learn about it. It truly is fair for everyone (except the leeches in our society that pay in nothing and sell their EBT cards for Lottery and cigarette money). Anyone who is paying taxes now would benefit from it. I hope it goes all the way this time!

Even if it was, why would I waste my time so I can get back a form letter? They vote how the people that pay for their election want them to vote.
