I have naturally dark brown hair, I've been going pretty blonde for awhile. Not an all over color, we just usually highlift the roots then weave in blonde everywhere else.
My stylist just had a baby and I tried someone new. This girl bleached my roots and weaved in brown. My roots are so damaged, they feel like horse hair. And the top of my head is blonde, and the bottom looks brown. The brown weave didn't take to the bleached roots part.
Any suggestions and how to fix this without making my hair fall out? Should I make my roots brown to match the bottom or try to go blonde since I hate having brown hair?

I'd say just dye your hair all brown and don't bleach it any more. The stylist doesn't make much difference for the bleaching which damages hair.

I have had this happen to me before too. Use deep conditioning conditioner it will make your hair nice again. The bleaching takes out all the moisture you have in your hair leaving it fried so bad using a conditioner it helps put the moisture back in your hair. Then if you like the color brown just color your hair all brown plus brunettes are more sexy in my opinion. Just be very careful with your hair it can easily fall out if it is that damaged. Just let your hair grow back for a month or so also so it has time to get back to were you started from. Then just make sure not to go back to that hairstylist ever again. If you want to make a complaint to her make sure she isn't the one to do your hair again because she might mess it up even more on purpose. Good luck!

Oh wow. You probably should have waited until your stylist was back. Your roots showing couldn't have been as bad. Hmm...I think you should dye your entire head the color of your roots so you won't damage them anymore. Also, use some shampoo that will make your hair soft, and help the color.

sounds like you're hair is toast. sometimes when you try too hard to make things better you can micromanage enough to make it worse. just accept this is an expensive (& very embarrasing) lesson.

consider getting those hats & wigs that chemo patients wear. call the local hospital and ask for the name of a doctor that deals with breast cancer. then call the oncologist & ask where they refer patients to that need head scarves & turbans. Some look very stylish. Tell people that you have some scalp disease & have to stay covered as need wrap your scalp with medication.

most likely you will have to get a really really short cut and wait for it to grow out. no matter what you do people are going to look at you and say oh my god what happened, or oh my god that looks terrible she should just cover up, hence the head covers as above.

after you start to grow out, maybe try a temporary henna until you save up enough money to see someone who really knows color. It will cost you about $175 in a high end market.

I happen to like brown. you can highlight brown and look very sharp!

good luck

First of all go to another stylist. Second, you are going to need a deep conditioner and or conditioning restoration treatment, third I would suggest a deposit only color to match the brown she has already put in your hair, the last thing you want to do is lift anything else off of your hair.

isnt there a hair product that strips out all artificial color/chemicals?? if so, id say go to a nice salon and get this done, or whatever they recommend. dont try anything yourself. but even though you hate brown, give your hair a rest from the blonde color since its already damaged. good luck!

go blonde.. try not to put any more chemicals by the roots because you dont wanna damage the roots anymore than they have been damaged.. try giving your hair a break from chemicals too.. that might help to restore it to the way it was before that lady messed it up!! hope u got ur money back lol..

You should get a good deep condtioning treatment to get your hair back to life and maybe try going for a color that you really like and look good with and wear that until you can start doing what you had before and your stylist that you are used to can do it again.

It's called a Malibu treatment. It will (gently) strip your hair of all it's artificial color and chemicals leaving your natural hair feeling soft and damage-free. Then use deep conditioners for about a week before getting your hair highlighted or dyed again.

I know I am fabulous!

why you could wait till you stylist comes back. your old one that is. or you could go blond again so that way your roots won't get damaged more by dying it brown. you could even cut off the brown tips, it'll help make your hair healthier. good luck
