Could you explain more? Is it just a little bit once in a while? That is not a big problem... if there is a lot, or it happens / appears several times a day you need to see a vet. If the eye is swollen, very red, or very itchy, or appears cloudy you should see a vet.

Otherwise you can try to use eye drops sold specifically for dogs, don't try to use visine or human drop unless your vet tells you exactly what to buy. Typically, if it's a minor infection all you really need to do is monitor it to make sure it's not getting worse and doesn't last a long time. If it lasts more than a few days or shows any signs of worsening (anything listed above plus anything that looks bad or signs of pain) you need to get to a vet right away to treat it... if your dog yelps, squirms or does anything when you gently touch his eyelid you need to rush to the vet... anything affecting the eye could cause blindnes...

No, there really aren't any home remedies except to wash eyes with warm water. Still you need to take the dog to the vet. It could be something very serious. My dog had to have drops from his vet.

No take them to the vet, you don't want the possibility of blindness.

Your dog needs an antibiotic from your vet. Don't wait, please.
