This not a fruit/nut pie, but it is my favorite!!!!
My Grandma's Shoo-Fly Pie

Original recipe yield: 1 pie.
Servings:8 (change)
INGREDIENTS:
1 (9 inch) pie shell
1 cup molasses
3/4 cup hot water
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup shortening
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
To Make Bottom Layer: In a medium bowl combine molasses, hot water, and baking soda. Stir well. Whisk in beaten egg. Pour mixture into pie shell.
To Make Crumb Topping: In a medium bowl combine flour and brown sugar. Mix well, then cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle on top of molasses layer.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Lower temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake an additional 30 minutes.

Pecan pie is something I shared with my dad every Sunday.. It began when no one else would eat it with him..
I still have a piece of it now and then, and always think of my dad.. truth is
Dad's been gone since 1979 - died 12/11 of that year..

If I had to %. out of those selections i'd say apple pie, no longer undeniable inspite of the undeniable fact that. I devour my apple pie warm and with vanilla ice cream! Mmmm!!!! My grandma makes the suited apple pie in the international!

ok, nut pie? pecan with caramel.... fruit?? Peach!!! i will eat both apple and cherry... not crazy about them tho.. but i will eat them to be polite, oh and sweet potatoe too!
