Darwin recanted on his deathbed. This is completely fabricated and has no foundation in truth whatsoever. A woman named “Lady Hope” spoke to a church group shortly after the death of Charles Darwin. She claimed that she was at Darwin’s bedside on the day of his death. She also claimed that Darwin recanted on evolution and accepted Jesus on his deathbed. Her claims are not only unsupported, but are directly opposed by Darwin’s daughter, Henrietta. Henrietta stated “I was present at his deathbed, Lady Hope was not present during his last illness, or any illness. I believe he never even saw her, but in any case she had no influence over him in any department of thought or belief. My father never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. I am upset that the U.S. Christians have fabricated this conversion nonsense. The whole story has no foundation whatever.” February 23, 1922.

LOOK OUT MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!
For your post is about to be FLOODED with "Biblical Babble" of Biblical Proportions. Since Biblical Babble can prove anything and everything without any proof whatsoever, you are SOL 8-(
Not to worry though, I know, as well as the Scientific Community, that what you say is correct and casts a "VERY LONG SHADOW" of doubt on ANYTHING Christians say or do.
But, to their defense: You have to be "INDOCTRINATED" to be a "true" Christian, so they have an excuse for being obtuse 8-)

If all you had to offer someone was a little bit of hope to encourage them for just another moment, would you lie?
I lost a very dear friend today, and his last request was 39 hours ago, please unplug everything as I've said all I know to say and I just want to go home. So, we lied - we said ok. He was in his right mind and we watched him for the last 39 hours of his life slip away - but he had it all done up legally for just this purpose - so would it have benefited us to throw a fit and say no, we want you to stay on these machines, we don't love you enough to care about what you want -
my point - when it comes to those final moments, we lie - we lie to the one we love that it's ok to go on and we lie to ourselves that we really wouldn't want it any other way than the way they've asked for it to be.
So, who cares if Darwin canted, recanted, or just cant - he had a theory - it was a scientific conjecture that is much harder to believe in than faith in a Diety that has surpassed all peoples and their oral and recorded histories - and there are no oral and recorded histories of evolution as Darwin presented it - and it wasn't even his idea - it was a dream from an uncle that he thought was absolutely ridiculous but Darwin thought it was a great scientific marvel - if it could actually work - but it can't and it doesn't and it never will.
But then neither will Gene look at us and say you all are ok with this decision I've made and never will look at him and say, "you know that we just want you to be comfortable and happy and yes, we're ok with it" while our hearts were just breaking. We lied. He was a Christian and so are we. Who knows about Darwin - a lot of people do have bedside conversions - all it means is that the Holy Spirit gave them one more chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior - it doesn't mean he gave up his scientific notions - right, wrong or indifferent -
My source - life and life's experiences, and little history from school, way back in the 60's and 70's when you could still get a little bit of truth out of your school books and you didn't have to focus on passing some test to prove you had a brain - you just had to prove you had a little common sense and it wasn't which stand you took that mattered, it was the fact that you took one at all.

Charlie did not see any great conflict between what is now know as Darwinism and his Theology.
Charlie did some re thinking after his book was published and distributed - but nothing very exciting.
The recanting stuff is still much up in the air.
I doubt if he did recant though.
Most of the stuff was from Charlies uncle, not his original thinking anyway.

of direction Christians shouldn't lie. mendacity is a sin. organic and straightforward. Nor ought to a Christian tell others to lie; that must be encouraging yet somebody else to sin~a sin for guy or woman selection one and guy or woman selection 2. i haven't listened to hurry Limbaugh in a protracted time, so i do no longer comprehend enormously what you're relating. yet whilst he professes to be a Christian, then brags approximately doing non-Christian issues, he's giving scandal. some absolutely everyone seems to be "Christian" in basic terms whilst it incredibly is *handy*, or furthers a particular schedule. those absolutely everyone isn't real Christians in any respect. they are shams, and supply genuine Christians a foul call. i might upload that no longer in basic terms ought to Christians refrain from mendacity, yet so ought to absolutely everyone (atheists and agnostics secure). Being straightforward is only straightforward decency. Integrity is substantial no remember what one's non secular ideals. We must be waiting to believe others with the intention to have good relationships with them ~ no remember if in company, marriage, friendships, and so on.

i have heard that. But I do know that Darwin was a christian before he went to college. He went to college to become a preacher, but a proffecor there got him off on evolution, & steered him away from the christian faith. But what are you trying get here, anyway? Why bash the christians? If I was Darwin I would denounce evolution too. I wouldn't want to admit I thought I came from a rock! After he wrote his book he went into hiding, & some "christians went excepting it, & spreading it around. But that doesn't prove evolution is true if Darwin denounced it or not. Darwinism, & Evolution has never been proven, & is just another religion.

Is "lies Christians tell?" really a question? What are you asking? Everyone lies at some point in life. We all know it's wrong, but we still do it. That's part of being human. Those of us who have a conscious know we should stop and hopefully try not to lie. Don't just blame Christians.

As stated, this speaks of a "Lie" told by a Christian about Darwin recanting of his scientific views. What that seems to imply to me is that you are saying Christians will say anything, "lie" to prove their point. Although some Christians have been known to do this, Atheists have been known to do this also. It seems to me to be more a human nature thing than any religious group thing.
Lies have their consequences, and they usually work to the forefront of any situation. When they do they show themselves for what they are. If they are done by any " religious group" it reflects badly on that group. So I would urge my fellow Christians not to "lie", I would also point out that those of you who do not take the Christian view point, agree to disagree. We will try not to lie to you, but we are not infallible, we are not above being human.

Perhaps atheists can even the score when Billy Graham passes away. Maybe we'll hear that as he lay on his deathbed he screamed something about creationism being a lie of the devil.

It is pretty pathetic is'nt it? If you have to make up lies to bolster your own beliefs then what merit do the beliefs have? None as far as I can see. I think we should just ignore creationists unless they seriously look like getting their ideological beliefs included on an educational curriculum, then I would fight tooth and nail to get their primitive beliefs thrown out. Its hard to fathom that people can be so stupid, but there ya go, that's humanity. Full of it!

First look to the word of God not to people and read what It says I am a Christian and spend my time In the word of God rather then In tales or ridiculous arguements and I feel that true born again Christians should spend there time In the word of God rather then In this type of nonsence.
I believe In Jesus Christ and his death on the cross for my sins and that Jesus Christ died and shed his blood for my sins and this knowledge has changed my life and would yours too.
