If God did not prophetically record that the three flocks Jacob envisioned at Padan Aram represented His three main flocks: Judaism, Christianity and Islam and that the stone of misunderstanding would be rolled away from the well of ignorance when the seed of Isaac returned as per Isaiah 11:11, I believe even God would puke watching His dysfunctional family.
Just imagine that we inherit this all because Abraham had to listen to his nagging wife Sarah. Then again why Did Abraham have to walk with his very fertile maid out of Egypt? Hagar you were good to us; we have to go--take these hundred head of cattle: BYE.
DNA is now giving historians evidence to cement the long-held belief that even George Washington suffered the same fate by having children with his well-shaped black maid.

I certainly don't claim to be an expert on Islam. But I can answer your question. If "Allah" means "God", then the question among Christians and Jews would be whether the term is equivalent to the English form "God" with a capital 'G' representing the one true God, or whether the term refers to "god" with a lower 'g' representing the entire array of false and pagan gods that have been worshipped throughout history.

PEACE
To reallyfedup:
Arab Christians call God Allah. Allah is the arabic word for God.
To lizard mama:
Arabic is a greater language and older language than English. Most of the english words came from Arabic. There is no real translation for Allah in English as it has a very powerful meaning. The word God is the closest meaning to "Allah", hence Allah in english is God.
To angeltress:
Muhammed's "allah" is a statue of a moon god standing in the god house in Mecca with about 130 other "allahs"
We muslims believe in only one God. We dont worship statues. There is not statue in the Kaba (house of God) in mecca. The house of God is not a statue either. We dont worship it. Please research before answering of what you dont know.
To Godshew:
WE dont believe Allah is more than one. We believe He has no partner, no son, therefore not plural.
PEACE

Maybe this cut & paste answers the question:
.........................................................
A brief examination of Allah as presented in the Quran leads us to conclude that he cannot possibly be the same God worshiped by Abraham and as described in the Holy Bible. The contradictions in attributes and nature between Yahweh and Allah are too numerous to pass over, and cannot be reconciled. We are well aware that the name Allah is used by Arab speaking Christians for the God of the Bible… As such, the Holy Bible uses the term as just one of the many titles for Yahweh, the only true God. Yet the problem arises from the fact that Muslims insist that Allah is not a title, but the personal name of the God of Islam. This becomes problematic since according to the Holy Bible the name of the God of Abraham is Yahweh/Jehovah, not Allah: God spoke further to Moses and said to him, "I am the LORD (YHWH) and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty; BUT BY MY NAME, YHWH, I did not make myself known to them." Exo.6:2-3. Therefore, Christians can use Allah as a title but not as the personal name for the God of the Bible.
Many Evangelical Christians, especially those working among the Muslims and also the traditional Arab Christians, hold into this approach and use of the name Allah, thus only as a generic name for God. They insist in using the name because they believe that it was originally introduced to the Arabs by the Bible believers and long before Muhammad made it the official name of his god. Most of those Christians reject Muhammad's version of Allah and consider and consider his god as a false one and an imitation.

you are talking about 2 concepts. If by "allah" you simply mean the linguistic reference to a single god, then you can say that god=allah etc, but if by allah, you mean that thing which you claim communicated with muhammed etc, and judaism and christianity deny that those conversations ever took place then there is no identity there. If my god is the one of the universe and ddn't do what you say (according to my belief) then you can't be talking about my god when you use that word.

Well allah is no more real than god of the jews and christians than any other pixie or leprechaun. You DO realize that right?
I mean allah is just another incarnation of a moon-god that bronze age shepereds worshipped.
Nothing more.
Stop saying that your god is real, it only makes you look stupider than you really are. (if such a thing is possible)

the word "allah" is simply an Arab term that means "god". Arabs would have referred to Zeus as a Greek "allah". There is only one True God of the Universe, and your "allah" ain't Him. Muhammed's "allah" is a statue of a moon god standing in the god house in Mecca with about 130 other "allahs"

Grace unto you and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God(Grace) notably cannot lie(law) nor die(law).
Neither does God fear(torment) nor tempt anyone.
God(Grace) hath NOT appointed us unto wrath(law).
As for servant, "thou are no more a servant, but a son".
As for swearing, the exhortation in Mt 5 is "swear not".
As for before Islam & Allah started, there is God.
As for after Islam & Allah shall end, there is God.
God(Grace) is eternal, has no beginning nor end.
The only God which resembles Allah is the false God, the plural and dividead God on "high" in the plural and divided "heavens"; Whereas "the only true God" (of false/true Gods) is notably in united "heaven" above: "higher than the heavens", reigning from a "throne of grace", where only "mercy" is obtain-able. Selah.
The "grace"(God) of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

All the names of the Almighty God are listed in the Bible, allah, is NOT among them.
When you try to put allah up to God's standards, he falls very short!
The Lord God, does not call for the death of non-believers, for instance.
