Really I am serious I tend to be a very positive person and recently have been called a "fluffy bunny". I understand duality and the need for both dark and light. I am lacking in this recent perception by new acquaintances. People who have known me see no differences in me.

There's more to fluffiness than the "dark and light" thing, IMHO. Have you asked the people who used the term why they thought it applied? One of the most common traits I see in those I consider "fluffy" is the reluctance to learn (bordering on downright stubbornness that the ideas that they have are true and unshakeable, because it said so in some book) and the reluctance to admit that they might be wrong about something.

Not necessarily saying that's the case here, but just giving an example of something else that could be considered "fluffy".

Epona Willow provided a good link for information. You may also want to check out http://fluffbunnytrad.com/info.html for a satire piece on some things that get people identified as "fluffy bunnies".

Keep in mind that folks who behave and believe like the ones in the article really do exist and are out there, and you might understand why there is often animosity towards fluffies.

I use the word "fluffy" for those lacking any substantial depth or commitment. I don't feel that a person who is an optimist is necessarily fluffy. I wouldn't worry too much about how others label you, but it's great that you are honest enough to try to see if there is any basis for their feelings (a very non-fluffy thing to do). A fluff bunny is a) someone who doesn't take their paths too seriously and practices for all the wrong reasons and/or b) someone who indulges in willful ignorance. In other words don't bother to understand the meanings behind the gestures and symbols of their paths, and if someone offers to educate them or enlighten them they get all pissy and refuse to learn anything that might be helpful or contradict what they thought they knew. That's my definition.

Dont mind those people.People think being a wiccan involves being fuzzy and upin the sky. You know its not true. People calling you that deserve a smile and no reply. Make them know that you are the one that knows better in this case. Name calling is for ignorant people who are not open to new things.
