FRANCE - *Passport required. Visa not required for tourist/business stay of up to 90 days in France, Andorra, Monaco, and Corsica, and 1 month in French Polynesia. Americans do not need a visa to visit France, unless you are planning to stay over 90 days. All you need is a valid passport.

depends where you are from, you may need to go to an embassy as one of my friends from Thailand had to go to an embassy to apply for a visa to go to France.
