The most important person in all humanity?
if yes/no why you (don't) think so?

As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene....No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.
Albert Einstein, physicist (1879-1955) (from: [7])

Yes.
He bought us out of our slavery to sin, and set us free to have eternal life.

No, I don't consider Jesus to have been the most important person in all humanity, and I have the feeling he wouldn't have wanted that position either. From what's seen in the gospels (that isn't tainted by Paul) Jesus seems to have been a wise rabbi who was exploited in death by those who were dissatisfied with Judaism and the Roman and Greek religions of the day.

I asked Jesus for a pair of size eight wellington boots when i was poor up in the hills of wales. What did I get? A thunderstorm and influenza. Jesus is so full of his alleged self-importance that he doesn't feel he has to answer the pleas from his humble servants anymore. So no. I don't think he is particulary important. Harold, my cousin, is now the most important person in the world, because at least he cared enough to give me a pair of his wellingtons, even if i had to steal them.

Jesus means everything to me. Without him, nobody has peace. Its a feeling i can't explain through words. people who read this, i would suggest that if u know that your missing something, and u feel like Jesus is talking to u right now, all u have to do is pray to him and tell him that u r sorry for your sins. if u truly mean this, he will live inside u in one instant. then he forgets all of the sins u have committed and that is the only way to be saved.

Yes, he's important to me and He is the most influential person ever to exist.

He's even an important figure in Islam, Buddism, and Hinduism.

His name comforts some, and offends many, and brings salvation to those that find Him.

Only if you want to believe it. Other religions believe differently. Buddhists believe Buddha was. Hindus believe in Krishna or Rama. Muslims believe Mohamed was. To me they were all just people. I am not sure whether any of them existed in the way they were/are portrayed to be.

No. If it weren't for Paul's advertising push, no one would know who he was. Jesus would have been lost amongst all of the other messiahs of the day.
