dont compare urself to other people.. learn at ur own pace. i realize, if u keep working and studying and doing homework and taking tests, u will learn how much u need to study, how long it takes for you to understand something. therefore, u can plan ahead and see how long it takes for u to truly understand something. don't give up until you do! if u need tips, try asking friends to do study groups, ask ur teachers for help after school, or ask ur parents to get u a tutor. whatever it takes to help u become more efficent! :) in the end, the fact that you care this much is truly Awesome. hopefully ur parents and teachers can understand how much hard work u put into yourself and ur material..and they will do all they can to help you get better. good luck~

Sometimes working hard does mean you feel like you're going slow - or you may in fact be going slower than you'd like. Many people have this happen because their brains are trying to absorb as much info as possible so they can later call it up during those important exams.

When you get your exam, I suggest you look through it, answer everything you can easily remember, and then go back throughout the test and answer the ones that are harder. Also, if you can get rid of one possible answer in a multiple choice question, you'll at least have fewer issues if you need to guess. With essays, take a few minutes and plan it out - it can help your brain focus on getting your point across if you have an outline sketched out. With math and physics, I like to write down equations that I have trouble remembering in the very beginning so I don't have to call them up every time I need them to answer a question.

Go over what you know once or twice. Then go over what you really don't know. Then what you kind of know. Flash cards and repeatedly studying small bits of info (don't overload your cards or your brain may hurt like mine used to) will let your brain grab ahold, which will help you not only really know the material, but be able to recall it later.

Take breaks when studying - every 20 min is what I've heard the most - because your brain really does need to rest every so often.

Believe in yourself. That helps a lot.
Good luck.

Try not to over do it. If you try too hard it won't do you any good. Relax rest your mind when needed and stay confident and it will all be ok.
