Saudi Arabia is exporting 8 million barrels of OIL everyday to USA at $67/Barrel.

Lets make some calculation:

8,000,000 * 67 = 536,000,000/day

536,000,000 * 365 = 195,640,000,000

Whoa that makes up more than 195 BILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR! (Just from USA, not to forget it also exports oil to Japan and many other countires)

and the SAUDI POPULATION IS 25 Million (US POPULATION IS 290 Million)

What do you think? Will saudi arabia be one of the worlds richest countries if it kept on exporting oil for next 200 years? It also has GOLD hidden in the mountains of MAKKAH worth TRILLIONS!
Do saudi arabia have any chance of becoming world power if it becomes MODERATE (and yes they have stopped veiling their faces and women will get right to vote and drive, cinemas are being built) SO what do you think 200 years, saudi arabia world's super power?+its well known that arabs are smartest people on this earth!

Oil will run out of the world but not run out of Saudi Arabia i live in saudi arabia and i have close contacts with the royal family. I know that we have reserves to power the world for more than 100 years and we have so far searched for oil in just 30% of total area of saudi arabia... and we are quite sure that other 70% area will have enough oil to last minimum of 200 more years.

And about Gold, our prophet promised us and said that you will find MOUNTAINS full of Gold on which wars will be fought... King Faisal in 1980's said that saudi arabia have moutains full of gold which will be uncovered in future.

@WIll: They are just investing 7% of their money in US economy. Others are used in building $75 Billion cities!

I'd herd that they were developing tourism because they knew oil has a limited future. But the main point of this question, why it's in the religion section is that religion is holding the country back and stoping it from developing is of course true. That is what religion does.

Are you aware that because Bush is such a cowboy, the Saudis are reluctant to invest that money back into the US economy and so other nations, like Syria, are benefitting imensely from Bush's foreign policy faux pas.
