Steve that's a challenging question neither were want for heart.
Both men overcame the "small man" tag in the Heavyweight division and both were true champions. If I definitely had to choose which one had more heart it would be Holyfield for the simple fact that he came back from defeats when the championship was on the line, whereas Marciano didn't have to face that situation. By no means am I denigrating Marciano by saying that because he had tons of heart. There is no "loser" as to how this question was posed. (That would be a hell of a fight Steve!)

Evander Holyfield. Holyfield took the best shots from some of the biggest men and biggest hitters that ever laced up the gloves, Lewis6'5 240pds and a huge puncher, Tyson Huge puncher 220pds, Mercer 225pds and a big puncher ,Bowe6'5 235 pds and a huge puncher, Foreman 6'3 248pd all time huge puncher. And faced many other good fighters like Cooper, Dokes ,Qawi, Douglas and Holmes etc...
He had heart problems and his career seemed over but then came back and upset Tyson. His got bigger heart than any other boxers in history. He may not be the biggest, or the best or the fastest but when he steps in the ring, he never quits and gives his all that's why he's the only 4 time heavyweight champ.

This would be a fight between tough as nails warriors's! Both fighters are very durable and in great condition. Nobody even Holyfied ever trained as hard for fights than Marciano did. Rocky had no fear of any opponent and had more drive and determination than anyone. Rocky would absorb some very hard punches from Evander and return fire and landing the harder punches to Holyfield's head and body wearing him down and winning via a 12th round TKO.

Rocky Marciano hands down winner>Record: 49 Wins, 0 Loss, 43 Knockouts
Evander Holyfield>38 Wins, 8 Losses, 2 Draw, 25 Knockouts
I like both fighters and both had more than their share of heart. I give the edge to Rocky Marciano , he did fight the big names in his day. And remember the computor fight in 1970 which had him beating Muhammad Ali by TKO in 8 rounds? For whatever that is worth , Rocky died in 1969.

Both men were great fighters,Marciano had a perfect record of 49-0, but many of his opponents were hand picked men who were past their prime if holyfield and the rock would collide, it would be interesgting a slugfest, possibility a draw. As far as how has more heart, I don't know. I never spoke to these men personally

They both have. In order to beat Mike Tyson you had to go toe to toe with him. In order to beat Rocky Marciano you have to go toe to toe with him. Ezzard Charles did it and so did Jersey Joe Walcott. There's no reason why Evander can't, whether he would win is any ones guess, but I suspect he would give a good account of himself, he like Rocky gave 100 %. I go for a split Rocky winning the first and Evander winning the second fight.

evander holyfield had far more heart than the rock! the rock never faced any top fighter when they were in their prime! Joe Louis might be a good name on his record, but Louis was 37 when he faced the rock! holyfield never ducked anybody!

Marciano would win by TKO late, but take a beating, possibly losing on the scorecards at the point of the TKO.
