Yes, especially anything old in the fridge. It can be full of bacteria. There's a reason there is an EXPIRY date on things...to protect your health!

I can't believe someone actually cooked over a Duralog and then wondered if that was why they were throwing up...chemical logs? Lucky she didn't croak. Yes, it's bad...don't eat stale...bread could have mold growing on it and nothing should sit in the fridge for more than 3 days...(leftovers that is).

Cookies has nothing really natural in it and are loaded with preservatives so no wonder they last years on the shelf...not really sure but I wouldn't recommend it...once opened and exposed to air it's not good. Air and moisture start to affect it and break it down so I wouldn't chance it. You may not get sick but who knows what you're ingesting in there. People know little about what causes a lot of things and who is to say bacteria doesn't eat away at your body and cause diseases you couldn't possibly fathom that they could.

Calm down. There's nothing wrong with them. They just taste differently because of chemical reactions going on with the air and the moisture therein. No matter how many you ate, you should be fine as long as that amount of regular cheese doodles are okay. I eat stale food all the time, and the worms thing is just a stupid rumor. But in the future, check the expiration date. Not everything just goes stale.

It probably won't kill you, but most stuff doesn't taste as good stale.

It's ok as long as it's not expired. A lot of homeless people would love to it other than not eating at all. Same in third world countries.

It's usually fine as long as it hasn't got any mould growing on it and / or is totally rotten or smells bad.
