You shouldn't be flossing 3 times a week! You should be flossing everyday. Also, use a tounge scraper. It helps eliminate bad breath. For the whitening, nothing works better then going to the dentist for a whitening session.

Floss once a day.
We tried this special toothgel called TheraBreath. It's expensive, we get it at Walgreens or CVS. It's worth it and the science behind it is interesting. The dentist has a clinic in Cali and his site is informative. You can look it up.
Anyway, be sure to use a tongue scraper and gently scrape your tongue as well. If you are using a lot of mouthwash it may be leaving your mouth dry and bitter tasting. I don't think that our oral tissues were meant to be bathed in alcohol on a daily basis.
Try to stop using the alcohol-based mouthwash.
I have used all the typical toothpastes on the market and found they leave my mouth feeling sort of slimey due to the ingredients, therefore I feel it's worth it to pay a little more for a product that gives exceptional results.
Again, it matters what you use and how often you do it.

don't smoke, don't eat onions all the time, brush your teeth regularly, and have them cleaned regularly. If you can afford it, get laser whitening. If you can't, save until you can. It really gets them pearly white. All the toothpastes out there suck when it comes to teeth whitening. Colgate Simply White doesn't work. Crest Whitestrips work, but only get your teeth like 2 shades whiter, unless you use them everyday for like months, which can get expensive. A good laser whitening can cost a lot. I've heard of a dentist charging $800, and another $400. It will improve your smile, though, which is good. Not if your a redneck, because of that one tooth.

use listerine three times a day, like at mornings, afternoons and evenings before bed. Brush your teeth three times a day and floss (if you have time). In about one month of listerine treatment, your bad breath should be gone. Also, clean your tongue and replace your toothbrush every month. Dont use scope, use listerine.
p.s. For fastest results on white teeth, use crest vivid white and crest whitening strips. It may cost alot, but believe me, in 2 weeks you will see the difference.

Brush teeth, use dental floss, change your eating habits, go to dentist for help, go online for dental tips, use mints or flavored candies regularly, try sugarfree chewing gum regularly when around people, use stronger mouthwash more often. Try Eclipse gum. Could be your diet that is causing this or other health issues. Also cinnamon is good too.

The first step is to ensure you are practicing proper oral hygiene and getting regular check ups at the dentist. Brush and rinse at least twice a day and use a tongue scrapper. If you continue to have problems, you may want to look up a fresh breath clinic or talk to your hygienist.
A good product that will give hours of fresh breath is called Closys oral rinse. It is available at dental offices and at Walgreens.
Good luck

Get clove oil, cosmetic clay, and spearmint from health food store, mix very small amounts and brush teeth. You can get dried mint leaves to carry with you to chew throughout the day. And its ok to swallow them if you want.

I suggest listerine, it lasts longer. Also, get either Crest or Colgate (Colgate being the number one recommended paste by officials) paste that has cavity protection and whitening. You could also get those whitening strips (that have bleach on them) but you should talk to your hygienist/dentist first before you do so.

ask your dentist for a tongue scrapper. Our taste buds are like cups and bacteria sits inside them. By scrapping them out you reduce some of the bad breath.
