Not at all. As long as you don't condemn others for their beliefs, you are open minded.

You can be open minded and religious.
It's when you start thinking that the religion is the ONLY way and every one who doesn't believe as you do is bad or wrong that your mind will start closing.
As long as your open to new ideas and thoughts, then your open minded and all the faith in the world won't change that

Well, it's not really true, as is often claimed, that Islam is the most tolerant of the faiths, but that doesn't answer your question. You don't have to answer to any other person for your attitudes, only to God, but He gives us the free will to decide how to handle any situation we may meet. You can be as open-minded or closed-minded as you feel yourself led to be; "open-mindedness" is really an overused term, especially in liberal circles where it and "tolerance" are often confused with "license". You can be open-minded and still remain firm in your belief system and moral judgment, which is really all religion is. The only thing we're required to do, whether Christian or Muslim, is love God and love humanity.

I expect that it does make you closed minded.
Once you 'believe' that you have access to the 'truth' regarding fundamental issues of nature and reality, you have essentially cut yourself off from the intellectually honest consideration of alternative possibilities. The reason is that those beliefs become internalized, as a primary filter by which you interpret and evaluate informaton. You can only be truly be open-minded when you have succeeded in ELIMINATING beliefs (along with prejudices and misconceptions) from the internalized filters that make up your self-description.

Any time you start to see that there is only one possible answer you start to close your mind.
We need to be open to the possibility that there may be a truer version of our beliefs waiting for us to recognize it. If we are certain that we have the final truth and we are wrong, them we might not recognize the real thing if we are confronted with it.
An open mind sees the possibility that it could be wrong. A closed mind does not see this as a possibility.

Yes, I do think most non-believers are open-minded. It's easy to turn away faiths you know nothing about. But to hear everything about a faith, consider it, and think "well, maybe it's wrong."

No. You can believe in religion and be open minded. But if you blindly believe and blindly follow without good understanding of your religion, then your mind will clamp shut tight.

No it doesn't. You have your faith, which is good. I have my own beliefs and I will only argue with you if you try to convince me that my beliefs are wrong or are making very ignorant and closed minded statements.

No it doesn't. You have simply found the spiritual path that is right for you. It is when you start condemning and judging others of different faiths instead of appreciating them for who they are, regardless of religion is where being close minded comes in. It is fine to believe your religion is the truth, just don't treat others of different religions with disrespect.
