Rocky Marciano knocks Floyd Patterson out.

I think Marciano would have taken him. I just don't think Floyd's chin could have withstood Rocky's power. Marciano by TKO in 7.

By the way Marciano was contemplating coming out of retirement in '59 to face Ingemar Johansson, who taken the title from Floyd the year before. I heard Burt Sugar on WFAN in New York the day after Floyd's death a few months ago and according to him had Johansson beaten Floyd in their 2nd fight he (Marciano) would have returned to the ring to fight Ingemar. However, as we all know, Patterson regain the crown (first man ever to do so) with a devastating 5th round KO.

There was a rumor that Rocky was going to come out of retirement to fight Floyd, and that he even started to train, the only reason it never happened was due to the Rock's bad back, in any case, with both fighters in thier prime, Rocky vs Patterson would have been just like Floyd's fight with Liston......
Rocky by first round knockout

Floyd was a very quick heavyweight with good boxing skills. But he had one glowing weakness, a glass jaw! Rocky Marciano was floored only two time in 49 fights and for very brief counts. Rocky also had a lot more power in either hand than Floyd. I see Rocky dominating this fight and winning by a 7th round kayo.

Floyd was a good fighter, but no way in the world he beats marciano. Marciano would have been way to strong for him. Also I dont see Floyd being able to hurt or keep marciano off him with his punch.

Marciano at his prime, no problem. Coming out of retirement, Patterson would be too fat.
