Exactly what I have been saying
No it should not. But it can not interfere with The Dept. of Immigration. This one has really stuck its foot down it's throat this time because now folks are phoning the pastor and asking if they can come, too.
The pastor gulps as he tells them "This is a small church"
Perhaps if the churches want them so badly then they could foot the bill for all of them.

So, what's the difference?

Many in the Church support George Bush. He has broke 26 constitutional laws, misused the American military by lying about his reasons for a hostile takeover and occupation of a foreign country (and the deaths of 100's of thousands of Iraqi's as well as over 3,000 of our boys) soley for the intent of procuring the country's oil PROFITS, and severly diminished our civil liberties and rights through the passing of the Patriot Act, though he had sworn to protect and uphold the constitution, and told us that it was TERRORISTS that threatened our liberties. Clinton cheating on his wife was worse?

Hey...it's our Christian duty NOT to judge...and to help the disadvantaged. While yes, they broke the law, they obviously did so because they're poor. It's not a violent act, and I believe the MORE illegal act was to HIRE them. Blame the BOSSES. It would also be a crime to punish the poor who are only coming here for survival...not harm. There are much worse things going on in our country, and this is nothing but political deflection. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL, and stop being distracted by these political games.

They should not be supporting criminals, but since God forgives with repentance, they are sort of in the forgiving business.

That is lovely, but is not to interfere with civil law.

Also, the Catholic Church lost a lot of support in this country with all of the child molestation cases. They see an 'open border' as a way to increase their flock and standing again, I'm sure.
