Yes, actually. It's considered obstruction of justice. Show up. Don't play games with it.
"WHAT IF I FAIL TO APPEAR FOR JURY SERVICE?
Title 28 U.S.C. Section 1864 (b) states that persons who are summoned to appear for Federal Jury Service and fail to appear may then be ordered to show cause why they should not be held in contempt of court for noncompliance with the court summons. Persons then failing to appear or to show cause for nonappearance may be fined not more than $100.00 or imprisoned for not more than three days, or both."

Yes- a judge can easily issue an arrest warrant for someone who doesn't show up for jury duty- it doesn't happen very often, but occasionally when people in a certain town quit showing up for jury duty and the judge doesn't have enough people to try a case, then the warrants start flying! It isn't so bad- just go!

Depending on the judge. A bench warrant can be issued for failing to appear. You could be denied renewal of your drivers license as well. And while you might not be put in jail, the judge may force you to sit in the court room for the duration of a trial, just because they can do that. I heard a judge threaten just that in my county courthouse.
I've heard, but not tried it out, that if you state you have problems with the judges instructions because the FIJA that most attorney's will flat out excuse you without a second thought. (Fully Informed Jury Association).

Yes....The Judge can issue a bench warrant for your arrest however if you have a legitimate excuse, it'll probably be thrown out....Legitimate excuse such as, I wasn't served to show up for jury duty....Next time call the court clerk before jury duty and tell them you have a doctors appt., or you have no transportation, etc., but it needs to be the truth....

Theoretically yes tho it doesn't often happen.
Just a hunch...did you get a call saying there's a warrant out for you for this and asking for information? If so, this is a scam to phish your personal info. Don't give anything out over the phone.

Yes. If you fail to show without having first gotten permission to do so, many jurisdictions will issue a bench warrant.
