Then what is this I've felt? How come whenever I pray, they always get answered no matter how long ago I prayed that prayer? How come my whole life I've never felt alone ever? How is it that when I was born premature and dead [weighing only 1 lbs 4 1/2 ounces] every doctor wanted to give up on me except one? How is it that that doctor was there on that day at that time to save my life when all the others were just gonna let me die? How come maricals happen everyday people just don't realize it. You can't tell me that every single one of the billions of people on earth that belive in God are brainwashed. They're not. Just because peole quote the bible and memorize the bible doesn't mean they're brainwashed. If God isn't real then life has no true meaning except to live and then just....die. Personally, I think without religion, this world would be complete chaos.

Preach it sistah! Although it's miracles, not maricals. And just to clarify, it's not religion you are talking about, it's spirituality.

We get the two confused all the time but religion is actually a bad thing. Budhism, Jewdism, and followers of the Kurran are religious in their beliefs-following strict rules to get to Heaven-but that doesn't make it right or mean that they are going to Heaven. Heaven isn't a place you can "earn" your way into. If that were true then Jesus died on the cross for nothing. The only way to get to Heaven is to accept Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior-that's it.

The feeling of God's presence, the belief that he is always there and answers your prayers. The fact that God is who He says He is, that's all spitituality.

Just wanted to clarify. Good stuff you put though.

God bless.

You are who you are for a reason. You're part of an intricate plan. You're a precious and perfect unique design, called God's special woman or man.You look like you look for a reason. Our God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, you're just what he wanted to make. The parents you had were the ones he chose, and no matter how you may feel. They were custom designed with God's plan in mind and they bare the Masters seal. No, the trauma you faced was not easy and God wept that it hurt you so. But it was allowed to shape your heart so into his likeness you'd grow. You are who you are for a reason You've been formed by the Masters rod. You are who are, Beloved Because there is a God.

I don't know why you feel the way you do, or why you attribute those feelings to god.

I have gone my entire life without a feeling that I had to attribute to god.

I have made hundreds of wishes and "prayers". Some have come true, but most have not. The difference between you and me is that I don't get caught up in the hope that there is a god, and I realize that when something goes well it is just a fortunate coincidence, or due to my hard work.

Also, consider that millions of starving children throughout the world pray constantly for enough food to survive the day. Why would god gift you or I with our superficial wishes and prayers while they starve to death?

How is the world doing with religion? Seems pretty chaotic to me and most of the wars, Israel/Lebanon/ Iraq/Iran, are fought over religious issues. The extremists pray to the same god you do and rejoice when people like you are killed. They say god has answered their prayers, the same god you pray to. How do you justify this? Or explain it?

Previous answers have mentioned all the children in circumstances like yours, or worse, that die. I'm sure their families prayed for them too, why did they die?

I am happy you were one of the survivors of a terrible beginning, I just think it has more to do with luck of the draw then god. For every example like yours there are probably a hundred that turned out badly.

I definitely believe in the Lord God. He is the same God over all the worlds in the galaxy. Remember, there are other ways to worship God, Christianity is only one way. Do you honestly believe that a man like Gandhi did not go to be with the Lord after his death? God does not care which road you take to Him.

I personally believe that it must be very difficult to not believe in God because our souls must remember that we were with Him on the other side before this life. I feel that way because the Lord told me so.

Hey, I appreciate your effort to try to convince others that there is a mighty God. I've read many answers from people and let me tell you something: the Holy Spirit is the only one who can make conviction of sin. If not, they will be sorry sooner or later. No, my atheist friend, no because you go to hell that's temporary, but because the Bible says everybody will bend their knees on the judgement day and DECLARE THAT JESUS IS LORD. Those who accepted him when they had the chance will reign this world with him but those who didn't will be thrown into the lake of fire along with Satan for all eternity. :)

Well sista I see's it like this, we have one of two choices to believe in our existence. One is that ,life begin on it's own it decided one day it wanted ta live so it did. Chemical soup became flies, flies became roaches ,and so on to monkey's, and then monkey's decides they wanted to be people and here we are today . One day we'll just decide to be half monkey, half tree, half fish.........
Our other option is to believe that there was a creator far beyond our ignorant capacity to believe . So we made up our own family tree and called it (The origin of man)
So in summation I sin by not trying to convince ignorant fools that they were not once monkey's. I feel I would be just wasting my breathe. Just look at some of the replies....... just total ignorance.....

P.S. And those fools are still looking for the missing link, cause they refuse to believe the truth.

Just ignorant plane ole ignant

You are very perceptive and intelligent for realizing that God is real. The question is, have you been made right with him?

Have you ever broken one of God's laws? Stolen? Lied? Lusted? Hated? If so, the Bible says you are separated from Him by your sin, and payment must be made for the sin. If we die in our sins, we will end up in the Hell that was created for the devil, because the Bible says we cannot approach God in his majesty with our filthy rag-righteousness.

But God loved you so much, that besides letting you live at birth and giving you signposts as to His existence, He made a way for you to be made right with Him and live with Him in heaven. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to take your sin punishment, and return from the dead, defeating death. The bible says if we will acknowledge and repent of our sins, and trust in Jesus as payment for them, we will be made children of God.

May God bless you and continue giving you wisdom, sister. I encourage you to check out

Look, you believe in God and it gives you strong positive feelings and you get your prayers answered and it's completed your life. That's awesome!!! Why don't you just be secure in that and not worry about what other people believe. I'm not a Christian but I'm ok with you believing differently than I do. Just respect other people and go with what you feel. It's all you have to do!

i agree> god and religion are so important to our beings. Our brains are wired for god/spirituality, and many atheists are just ignorant about this very important aspect of being human. there are more and better things than science can never discover, we just need to accept that there probably is a spiritual world, because the signs are all around us> we should pray for the un-belivers, it is the only way to convert them to christ>
