My dog is in the vet hospital getting her system flushed because of her kidneys and I called to check on her and he said there's still no change in clinical appearance and probably won't be for awhile. Does this just mean her appearance in general?

Yep, just means what she looks like to us, not whats going on the inside.
Example: If she looked in poor condition, she still does, BUT her blood values may be improving as her kidneys are being flushed and her body hasnt had time to "catch up" yet.
Good luck with your girl :)

It basically means that she is in the same condition as before and he doesn't expect her to improve/change for some time.

If you are EVER uncomfortable with the explanation a vet gives you, ask him what he means and ask him to explain it better. He isn't thinking that you might not understand medical terminology when he gives you an answer like that... that's just how vets talk to each other and their techs/assistants.

Ask your vet or look on the Internet. I think it simply means the way she appears to him medically; her medical signs.
