Was wondering what type of store I can go to to purchase some mase or peppers spray.

I don't know where you live, but in Canada Mace is not legal. You can buy Pepper spray at stores like Walmart.

Army Surplus, Police Supply Stores, I am not sure but possibly Hunting stores as well.
