Oil your hair regularly.
If you believe that you have the right type of hair to grow it long then make a serious commitment to hang in there for the duration. Growing long, strong, luscious hair requires time, effort and focus.
One thing that must be remembered is that each of us has what is called a “ terminal length” which is the maximum length to which hair can grow. Our genes determine the active period of the growth of hair follicles and this is different for different people. The secret formula for growth is to see that hair remains healthy. The age-old adage “ you reap what you sow” is not really out of place. If you start off with healthy hair in the first place, you will in all likelihood have tresses that glow with health. In order to ensure this, callously snip off hair that is damaged even if it means sacrificing a few inches.

just get it trimmed about 1/4 to to 1/2 an inch every 5 to 6 weeks as this will cut any split ends off else the hair will keep splitting and breaking and wont grow.

Hair is a a direct indication of what you eat and drink.
So, what kind of food and drink have you been ingesting?
A well-balanced diet (mainly vegetables - red/green/yellow), grains, and very little meat (keep it lean, like chicken or fish) and drink lots of water (avoid the soft drinks and alcohol).
In ADDITION to a well-balanced diet, take a daily dose of vitamin E(read the link for information...and consult with your doctor).

Ironically, trim it every 10-20 days.
Massage your scalp and don't over work your hair by styling it.
Less Products and more nutrition.
