Amen.
Jesus said there would be people like that though, so we'll just have to keep them in our prayers.
God bless

There are numerous reasons people don't like Christians.
1) Sometimes the actions of hyprocrites who claim to be Christians (whether they or lying to others or lying to themselves when they make the claim is immaterial) can irritate, sometimes horrify people.
2) Christians are people, and even the best of Christians occasionally has a bad day, and acts inappropriately towards others. For some we are the only living Bible anyone will read. As an ambassador for Christ each individuals actions reflect not only on God, but upon every other Christian as well.
3) Christians believe they have the only truth, yet quite often are so uninformed or misinformed about that truth that it makes one question the importance of that truth.
4) The world is in rebellion against God. Jesus said they world hated Him, they will hate us as well. It's to be expected that as a Christian some will not like you, if everyone did, that would be the greater surprise.
And while it's true that some of these objections could be pointed at other religions and even atheists. We say we hold ourselves to a higher standard, anytime we don't though the backlash we recieve might be to harsh, sometimes it's legitimate.

See I have no problem with any of them. Like you mentioned i dislike thier cramming of views in my face. Its not all of them. But then there are also some who look down on me because I'm not Christian. Another problem which annoys me is their lack of a opinion. Mostly I get 3 types of answers from most.
1. Because the Bible says so.
2. They will copy a verse word for word and paste it.
3. Answer with Jesus loves you. Accept him.
There are a few which will actually give me their own personal opinion. That bothers me when they can't.
I actually had a friend I knew which never talked to me again when they found out I wasn't Christian.
Don't get me wrong I have no problems with any of them it is just those things bother me.

You are so right, but we Christians also do this to fellow Christians. I have had people tell me that I can't a Christian be cause I don't look like one. (Praise God) I am a long haired hardcore Christian Biker. I wear black jeans and black leather vest. I dress this way everyday even for church. It is the way I am, it is who I am.
This is what others are looking at, and judging us for it and they have a good argument. How can others believe what we believe when we don't live what we claim. We do shove our beliefs on others, you can see it in a lot of the answers here on this site. How can anyone truly believe us? Not very easy, but if we live by the fauth we claim the our actions will speak for us. That is what people see and that is what we are judged on. Walk the walk, instead of talking the talk. That is what our job really is.

Because most christians are hypocrits. The only people who WERE NOT hypocrits who claimed to be christian that I've met were in what seemed like a cult. The word "christian" has come to mean someone who goes to church as a social thing and, then puts themself up on a pedestal when they are exactly the same as they were before they "found christ". Do you know how many potsmoking butch lesbians I've met who claimed to be "christian"? Ugh. It's disgusting. I have no respect for people like that. Make up your own beliefs don't not have any at all and, go to some social club on sundays so you don't feel like such a looser.

Perhaps instead of getting mad, you should get it through your skull that many who call themselves "Christian" are "like that." It may be harsh, but it happens to be true.
And why not try to be a good example of what Christian is like and what a Christian does instead of getting all worked up and angry? The Gospel is better witnessed by living it than complaining bitterly about how Christians are treated or trying to bash your religion over nonbeliever's heads.
If you want others to give you a chance, give them a positive image.

Please walk through this with me if you will.....
If you call yourself a Christian, then you are naturally associated in people's minds with a list of people who have done vile acts; just recently the preacher's wife who shot her husband is an example, Andrea Yates, who drown her children, the BTK killer...the term is more and more developing a negative connotation.
I know that doesn't mean all Christians do these things, but you are naturally going to be guilty by association. How is that so difficult to understand?

A lot of people hate us because we tell them what they don't want to hear, that they are lost and on the way to hell unless they change their life. Nobody wants to hear that, even if it's the truth. Some people don't want to hear it and some Christians just keep pushing. God does not want us to be obnoxious and pushy. One person can plant, another water, another weed, and another harvest. There is no need to be so overbearing that you chase people away. This is too long, but maybe we can find another way to witness. After all, the greatest sermons are not preached, they are lived!

I would like to shove it into every Christian that, not only is the Bible make believe, and that God is described as an unjust bastard, they need to keep their whacked out ideas out of other people's lives, off the money, out of the government, out of art, literature, medicine etc.... Christians are bad, wrong, and imposing. Even if it's imposing their faith when they vote. That's why.

in case you have been a Christian why did you bypass away it to stay with a cult. additionally if your a Christian you're saved and why throw away your salvation for a pretend. I have been given a feeling you have on no account been saved so attempting to justify your self whilst relatively your on no account had a private relationship with Jesus Christ and purely concept your a Christian. all people can call themsleves a Christian yet is your call written in the e book of life

All Christians do this, of course. That's all we do. We sit up at night and try to plot how to annoy tomorrow's crop of non believers. And don't forget, it is only Christians who do this. Every other group of people on the planet do not. Christians should be burned at the stake.
(That was complete sarcasm. Not actually trying to offend anyone...)
