Female each and every time,when females live together,the emotions and bitchiness seems to thicken. A male is a lot easier to live with,they either take or leave a situation. This is just my personal experience, I can't speak for anyone else.

Worst was female. Men are much easier, as long as you don't have to share a bathroom. There's a lot less drama.

I lived with my sister, which wasn't fun and a friend who started out as a stranger that worked pretty well. we were both single and have several similar traits, like our ideas of what is clean and what isn't acceptable. Nowadays, I'm married and have to live with my husband. I love him to death but he's messy and doesn't care about things the way that I do. I think the ideal roommate is someone who you share neatness or messy habits with and personally, I like to be able to hang out with them too. If you don't like them, how can you stand to live with them?
