I don't believe that Heaven is a place where you just drift around on clouds and play harps all day. I would like to think that the spirit world is productive. I would like to be in charge of the puppies. What are your thoughts? I am sure I will get negative answers from the believers and non-believers. Go ahead, I will pick out the good ones.

If we do, I'd like to be in charge of the nursery so I could love all the children who might have been abused or neglected on earth.

I don't think that Heaven is the same place for everyone. I always thought of Heaven as being a place where your spirit most desires to be.

In which case, if you would like to a be productive spirit, I believe that you certainly can go somewhere where you can be in charge of the puppies :D

Actually, our places in the heavenly realm are established by our deeds on Earth. The more we do here, the more rewards and authority we garner. The Scripture says that we will "reign as kings and princes with Him", so I'm inclined to believe that there will be SOMEONE or something for us to reign over! So, be ready, heaven will be bliss, but it'll also be a place where we will share the wisdom of the ages in a God-like fashion.

Hmm, I'm not going to say anything that I KNOW, because i don't. But I imagine that heaven will be productive but not necessarily in the way that you are thinking. I think that there will be "work" to be done, but it will be enjoyable. And if you think that taking care of puppies is something that may need to be done...and it might be..... then I'm sure God would allow you to do it if he thought that you could handle the billions of puppies. Not that I think you're incapable...but all I'm saying is that he might assign you a few hundred helpers.

So all dogs go to heaven? lol, Very possible.
I hope heaven is more like I get to find out unsolved mysteries of this world. Like, where is Jimmy Hoffa. Also I'd like to visit things I never got to see before. Like the grand canyon or the pyramids. Also how the pyramids were built. I hope we don't have jobs but get to explore the unknown. That would seem much more fun then working. Please don't make me work in heaven too!

Well...we really don't know what Heaven will be like. God hasn't really told us a lot in his word. However we do know that their will be a street made out of gold and we will live in mansions. No i do not think we will drift around on clouds. Where does it say wee will. It's a mystery and we will find out one day when we go to heaven.
God bless you!

Oh indeed! And I've already applied for a teaching position in the science department - on the off-chance the Old Man wants to redo some of those silly passages in the Bible.

There is no job to choose from in the first place, becasue heaven is where you just wish for what you want and it will appear before you. So, there is no economy or such. The beings in heaven simply enjoy their life in whatever way they want until their lifespan expire. It is thought-based unlike us human is form based.

Those who are awarded heavenly life will be ruling as kings and priests with Jesus who is now ruling as our King.and Shephard. They will be ruling in God's Kingdom--which is what Jesus preached about while on earth.
Revelation 1:5,6: " And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
Revelation 20:6: " Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ--"
So those who die and are awarded heavenly life will indeed have jobs to do. They will assist in ruling over the meek ones who inherit the earth.

we will be in the presence of God and will bow down and sing HOLY. HOLY HOLY we will not have the mind set of thinking about doing something,or being bored. when the battle is over and God reigns and he makes a new heaven and earth, then who knows what he will have us doing, i know it will be pure and holy and paradise!!!!! i can only imagine what it will be like to stand beside my Lord and saviour, to not have to think about anything else like we do in this world all our cares and concerns will be gone...i do believe animals will be heaven for sure and we will enjoy all that God has created.....you will not have to be in charge of anything for they will have no needs in heaven.....nor will we....
