The tenets of Christianity have already been disproved.... but finding intelligent alien life will make for some interesting soul searching for all religions and religious people.

Yes, Christianity changes the rules on how the world was created. Most intelligent people do not believe in God. They go for what you can prove, alien life would have no reasons to approve the tenets of Christianity since they would know all there is to know for them.

It depends on what exact religion of Christianity you believe. I personally dont think that intelligent alien life would disprove any aspect of what my religion believes...What I do think that is if alien life is proven to exist it would probably be closer to the end of our plants existance.

Nobody, nothing can lead to the disproval of the tenets of Christianity.
The life of Christ, the Bible, the Christian civilization are perfect despite numerous defects of the false or disguised Christians.
Nothing can be compared to Christianity except other Revelations of God such as Hiduism, the Baha'i Faith...
Some Christians may feel happy with my opinions concerning the perfection of Christianity, but they may reject the ideas concerning its equality to other Revelations. (To them Chritianity must be the only true Religion!)
Some deniers of religions may feel more furious with my admiration of all divine religions.
I pray that you would spend some time to read the Kitab-i-Iqan of Baha'u'llah before expressing your pre-conceived views.
God bless you all.

Larry Norman, a Christian rocker from the Sixties, once wrote a song, "Unidentified Flying Object":

"And if there's life on other planets
And I'm sure that He would know

"Then He's traveled there already
And died to save their souls."

The key word would be "intelligent"

After they heard our stories they would laugh like hell.

They might try to convert us though. Oh I can just imagine doubling the number of religions. No if they master space travel they would have done away with the notion of gods. Right?

It would force Christianity to face the fact it cannot exist in its present form and must be subject to chance, as is everything in life. If it does not change, it would break under the piles of paradox.

I suspect intelligent life would disprove many of our beliefs and values.

No, in fact the idea that God created more worlds than this one is already very much a part of many Christian doctrines. It would end up supporting them.

It's just a question of nomenclature. What you call "alien life" the Bible calls the "host of heaven".

"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them."

Not "the host of it", but "the host of THEM".

Adam only had dominion over this one single planet, Earth.

There are other planets, galaxies and planets throughout the universe with life!!

The Bible says so!
