What would be the consequences of not registering for the Selective service. Would I be drafted if I were on this list.

i did not register and nothing happen to me! they say you will go to jail but that is not true. You would not get any type of graints from the goverment or any other program if you did not register

Chad, everyone registers when they're 18.
It doesn't mean you are on a draft list. It's just the way it's done.
You just register and be done with it.
Don't worry about anything.
You could get in trouble if you don't register.

I know what you're concerned about.
That is a draft notice. Soemthing that was abolished after Viet Nam.
Register, be done with it. Don't give it a second thought. When I was 18 my boyfriend had to register and I was all worried about it.
If you don't want ot serve, chances are that you never will. Really.
The really good news is : THERE IS NO DRAFT

You will never get a government job or any kind of federal aid. Technically you could be drafted, but first they would have to reinstate the draft, which is highly unlikely because our all-volunteer force is more effective and has hight morale. Don't worry about being drafted, it won't happen. Just register and forget about it.

yes, you might be drafted. youre only safe if youre over the age of 25. nobody realizes the selective service system is in place and as soon as congress passes a law the system is operational within 90 days...there are many scenarios where this could happen, though very few people choose to believe it. and the last time a person was drafted was 1972. but believe me, it can happen again.

You should step out in front of a large flat faces truck for even asking that question. I'm sure you live in a place that is not to bad off, and by that meaning there is not someone trying to kill you every time you step out side of your house, because your an American and wearing digital cammo. You may or may not be wealthy, may or may not believe in this war, but you are surrounded by things that where able to be provided to you by the men that have fallen in the yesteryear's. Look around you do you have running water, heat, something to eat. Can you decide what Internet site you go on to or what news Chanel you WANT to watch. Look at a flag next time you pass buy it. I were one on my right shoulder on top of another patch (The 1ST ID), and think what it means and what you have.

No, you would not be drafted. There hasn't been a draft enacted for about what like 40+ years....someone correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, no you won't get drafted, I don't know why you'd be afraid of that anyways?
