For the last year I have heard and read about on the internet of powdered alcohol in a number of flavors that you mix with water or other liquids and it is made in Germany. Has anyone tried it over there in Europe or in the USA for that matter and how is it? How does it compare with regular alcoholic drinks? Does anyone know where to get it in the USA?

First question: Did you say powdered alcohol? Answer: Yes. Second question: Who makes it? Answer: One of the leading manufactures that we are aware of is a company called Subyou. Third question: What exactly is powdered alcohol? Answer: Powder alcohol is exactly that, powdered alcohol. It is sold in packets and mixed with cold water. The resulting mixture is an alcoholic drink of about 4.8 percent by volume. Last question: How much does a packet of powdered alcohol cost? Answer: First let it be known that the powdered form of alcohol is tax exempt. Because of this the company can promote the slogan "taste for not much dough" and retail the packets for about $2 or $3.
I still have not found where you can get it in the US..I tried ebay, but no luck.
