There are several adjustments possible depending on the Mode you are using.

If you use any Mode except (M)anual,

Look in your menu for EV (Exposure Value) You can adjust for your preference with + and - values.

To get lighter pics, try +0.3, +0.7, etc until you get the results you like.

This will adjust ALL pictures you take.

You can also adjust the ISO setting to a higher number, but that also raises the possibility of getting more "noise" in the pics.

If you use (M)anual mode, you can also adjust either the Aperture to a lower f-stop, or the shutter to a slower speed, or both.

The H2 has a live preview showing in the LCD, so you can watch the effect of any changes you make.

If you want to learn a lot about your H2, you should read

http://www.aakatz.com/h1whitepaper/homepage.htm

It is a mini book written originally about the H1, but has been updated to describe the H2 and H5 too.

I have the H1and have learned many, many things about my camera and photography in general from this whitepaper.

Have Fun!!

I'd mess around with the ISO settings, maybe raise the ISO settings higher so that you can capture the picture with a shorter exposure. Goodluck!
