What is it that people like so much about Islam that they convert?

I was wondering why so many people convert to Islam each year

because there is a inner peace that comes with becoming muslim.

They are drones who are incapable of an original thought. In the 60s teens were becoming "Moonies" because all actions were prescribed and one "fit in." It is the group mentality thing. It is also fear that if they don't they will be targeted.
Islam as a religion is not the problem. It is the extremists that have highjacked the religion just because there are so many and indoctrinated and/or innoculated them w/ a mysterious substance, so that they are pliant. Also, there is the 72 virgin promise thing. Geezzzzus!

And do you mean globally or did you mean in any particular country?

Some of my sources show that in America, Buddism is the fastest growing faith.

Other sources indicate that evangelical Christians are the fasting growing converts.

They are usually male egomaniacs that like to rule over subservient women. You can't do that in most other religions.
